The thing about TRIGGER is that they don't have writers, the animators just start pulling sheet out of their asses and they just come up with the plot later on, that's why i think Franxx turned out the way it did, for most of the production they were likely, "this is like Evangelion, this is like Evangelion, but it's about s3x, but evangelion", that was likely the entire concept behind Franxx, until they reached the set date they were supposed to deliver the scripts(since A1 was the one paying for it and co-producing the anime), so they panicked and just turned it their Evangelion fanfiction as is and for some reason A1 just accepted it, maybe bc they had already put money into it and they would lose face with the animate committee and channel they promised to deliver an anime series to.

If your wondering about genders in Transformers, its explained rather well in one of the books for the Aligned continuity or what people know as the Prime continuity due to the show. Its explained that yes, Cybertronians do not have gender roles but some bots have a more feminine appearance or masculine one. Thus for the sake of humans, they assign the normal gender roles so it doesn't get confusing. Also as for you missing the Fallen not being a thing, I'm actually pretty happy for that. Again in the Aligned continuity, which IMO is the one of the best Transformers continuities, Megatronus doesn't 'Fall'. He kills Solus Prime on accident due to a momentary surge of emotion but its not a bad guy. The actual fallen Prime in that continuity is Leigi Maximo who manipulates a lot of his fellow Primes leading to their momentary civil war. Its honestly great that Megatronus isn't constantly a bad guy imo.
