It's actually not all lionel. The new haven is a Williams engine with MTH cars. I know because i was running it. Thanks for coming.

Well done getting those ACUs, BNSF power and NS 8025! So far I’ve personally encountered 1067 (Reading Lines) & 1066 (New York Central). Greetings from Tennessee.

Great video! I grew up watching trains here and always love to see what comes by still. It surprised me to see helpers still in the area! I figured NS wouldn't want to run them super far from Altoona. I still can't believe its been 5 years since the signals got scrapped. Can't wait for your future videos!

Are there any major restrictions on flying a drone at the HS? I'm thinking of going out there, and may buy or rent a drone. Also thinking about Tehachapi loop in SoCal.
@videotrains5 ай бұрын
To the best of my knowledge, no. I've seen several railfan videos recorded there from the air and I've never heard of anyone having troubles. It's not a national park or a state park. It's operated by the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona. I don't know anything about Tehachapi but I don't think it's part of any park service that would automatically make it a no-fly zone.

Beautiful! This is how the HS should be videographed. I love the webcam because it's so convenient, and is real-time, but the HS was intended to be 'filmed' from the air.

My grandfather worked in that little building... looks like it's boarded up now on google street view but I remember visiting him there when I was a kid and it's always held a place in my heart. He was on the top floor, had all these controls in front of him and you'd look out the window and see the whole yard. The voice around 5:50 that says "he can't go anywhere else" ALMOST sounds like him. I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard that and then double checked the date but by 2001 I am pretty sure he was long retired from the railroad. It must have been 1980-82 that I remember visiting. Not sure when he quit. Worked for them for a long time. Thanks for sharing the video.

My son loves trains 🚆🛤🚞🚝🚉🚈🚇🚅🚄🚃🚂🚋🚊 especially railcars like that one he thinks they are highly underrated and should be preserved, restored, and put back into service carrying both passengers and mail on lines that are not used anymore or at least don't get passenger service. He also thinks that Siemens, Progress Rail, or any other company that builds railroad equipment should build clones of RDC's and the departments of transportation should restore and rebuild railroad tracks that were abandoned and removed and run these on them.
