Hi there. My friends in Vegas told me, not to skin a palm tree. The reason was, that the tree was loosng water if you did! I could see the good thing in this!

Mexican of California fan palms are tall! In the east coast they’re not planted much, but it’s cool to see them in the desert like areas and the west coast Mediterranean climate
@mr.benitezhimself6 күн бұрын
I was born in New York, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much work out there for an arborist
@Sanchez96d6 күн бұрын
@@mr.benitezhimself yeah, the east coast is diverse, but not much has been tried in that department. Like my dad he’s from the west coast and I visited California and Nevada (laughlin area) and their landscaping is pretty diverse. I’m from North Carolina, and you finally have people growing citrus and avocados and banana plants, as well as some desert plants. But we’re behind, because people were never encouraged to grow these thing’s here. In the coastal region in this state there’s always been palm, the sabal palmettos, because they’re native all the way down to Florida. And the Brazilian pindo palm, but now people are starting to see we can grow more. The issue is when It’s winter we can get hit by a freeze that can knock trees back, and potentially kill a young tree, doesn’t mean and can’t do well. Just people have gotten discouraged in the past anyway. I wish more arborist made there way to this type of forest scenery and make it come to life! Also, how was New York? I’ve only been twice that I can remember, I know it’s a melting pot!
@mr.benitezhimself6 күн бұрын
@Sanchez96d yeah it’s very diverse but we try to stick to desert trees. Those who thrive with little water and lots of sun. I left New York and came to the west when I was a kid. 9 or so Idr My father had better opportunities here in Vegas.
@justpalms99786 күн бұрын
Lots of them in Florida.
@Sanchez96d6 күн бұрын
@@justpalms9978 I’ve seen some there; but not as prominent. I think in Florida I’ve seen a lot of royal palms down south, Christmas palms, foxtail palms, a lot of feather palms, which I enjoy seeing. Especially the coconut palms are a charm to see. When I went to Los Angeles I think the only palms I saw were canary island dates, maybe sparingly a couple of royal palms, a lot of Washingtonians. I love our feather palms in the east as it gives the tropical look. But it’s cool to see a couple of sky scrapers. But yeah out in the west, California and Nevada have those tall Washingtonias. Over here in the Carolina’s they grow a couple tall Mexican and California fan palm. I like seeing how they have thick trunks. But I prefer the edible and palatable bearing palms a lot. What part of Florida are you from? I go to Florida a lot! But I live in NC and I just love the nature, so seeing the different scenery is cool

You have no clue about palm trees then. He raped those trees because that’s what the home owner wanted. Spiked to hell. Cut good fronds off. Says he’s a professional but didn’t talk the customer out of doing it that way. We refuse to trim past 9-3. Always leave about 3 feet of boots under the fronds.

He took, open center to a whole new level. If it does survive. All the weight on the ends of the remaining branches, can cause it to snap or bend a lot more touching almost the ground

I need to upgrade soon.

I’ve never met a home owner eager to plant more palm trees 1.) because of the maintenance 2.) seed pods 3.) they keep growing in height every season
