A good start but there's more to it than that. Your prop could be hub heavy the way you done it.

I want to warn that the link in the description now leads to fishing and scams, I'm guessing the domain ran out and bots found it and made it redirect to malicious content

Hey could you please help me I'm at this stage now and when I enter calibration mode the pixhawk has a long beep i put the throttle down, however i dont hear a tone from the motors. they just keep beeping normally. I'm unsure why they aren't making the calibration dial tone. I am using readytosky 40A escs and readytosky motors. do you think i need a bec

You are wrong If the 4 motors rotate CW then the Drone will rotate CCW and VS

What happens to pitch axis when the quadcopter rotates around roll axis. Does the reference pitch axis also rotate with roll angle?

Hi, I have FSi6 Transmitter and FSi6B receiver. I see ppm/ch1 in my FSi6B receiver. I have enabled ppm on rx setup of receiver. And it is connected to RC port of pixhawk 2.4.8. I am not able to do ESC calibration through pixhawk for one motor which is connected. Do I need ppm encoder to connect from FSi6b receiver to pixhawk? Do I need to setup any parameters on the pixhawk using mission planner? Am I missing something here?

Can I use 9 channel receiver with 6 channel flight controller, like FSTH9X with KK 2.1.5 flight controller.

Great video...but like oking for more detail...like, how the flight controller manages commands and also interprets sensors(?) to offset turbulence or erratic user commands to maintain stable flight...also, to countter over correction...

You get 5 STARS for being considerate towards your audience. We need more men like yourself as an instructor on ALL things engineering. Keep up the very good work. You should be a teacher of engineering...

its not a thumb screw... its not even a screw... call it a roller switch or something.... its basically a sideways encoder switch like on modern car radios. Its just housed to be like a roller wheel rather than a dial. Also i think everyone can figure this out within the first 10 minutes of holding the transmitter.. do more intermediate and advanced tutorials. like the dual rates/exp , throttle curve, pitch curve, etc if someone cant figure out how to change the models name without instructions they're pretty stupid.

I must however take umbrage with your last statement. An equal number of motors (clockwise and counter-clockwise) is not necessary for stable flight - only a parity of dynamic mass. Right? (picture a single rotor helicopter)

Thanks for this video. I tried to explain these dynamics - to several people who claimed to be experienced in Quadcopters. They wouldn't have it! : )

I'm doing some tests with a drone x8 + 3DR, in an experimental platform, I want to try only movements in the angles roll, pitch and yaw, but I need to avoid that it rises, someone knows how to deactivate the Z (height or elevation) in the pixhawk, I just want to move the angles without the drone starting to rise, you know how to deactivate the autopilot part of Z could give me information. thank you I await your comments
