The babies have the butt buttons so they can be indentified within the troop. Looks like the silverback shook the tree too close to the babies & someone had to put him in line.
@rolandungeheuer4 ай бұрын
Yes, that's right. However, we suspect that the four silverbacks were father and three sons, otherwise the fight would not have gone so smoothly. Afterwards, the loser came after me. Fortunately, the trackers were able to turn him away from me.

How fortunate to have been there with them. I absolutely love gorillas and follow many of the captives in the conservation program. I hope you guys wore masks to protect them from your germs.@@rolandungeheuer

They move like japanese Sumo wrestlers.

interesting point of view. However, gorillas eat a much healthier diet and have more muscle than fat.

It's all about eye contact, when the aggressor stares them down they all look away to avoid the challenge but when one finally does look at him he looks down and the little fracus is over.

Thing I love about Gorillas is pretty much 9.8 times out of 10 when they fight it's all boxing, grappling and wrestling, it can be very aggressive but they're just slabs of sinew and muscle. Someone wins and it's done. Chimpanzees will literally beat each other to death with rocks, bite out jugulars, pull off arms and testicles or hold each others heads under wet mud until the other one stops twitching. Gorillas are old school gentleman.

Kinda unusual to have that many silverbacks n families together like that. N it only took one tree snap!

I can't believe that there are 4 Silverbacks in this group. Amazing but Powerful.

might be 4 groups that are familiar with each other feeding in the same area.

they are father and 3 brothers. I was totally blown away. The trackers had never seen 4 silverbacks together before. That was unique.

:-) LG, Markus

yes that's right. The trackers had not experienced that before either. They are most likely brothers or father and sons. This was a very rare experience indeed.

They're intelligent but also, so stupid at times. The amount of inadvertent conflict you see between primates just because one happens to be 1. stood still. 2. moving. 3. merely existing. With chimp displays it makes sense, but when baby gorillas get tossed and trampled accidentally, essentially deleting a living creature...silly beings. That, and mountain gorillas eating their own feces...that's also a bit silly.
