I used to play jinzo+spell canceller combo. It was funny seeing your opponent struggle because they cant use their back row and had to summon their monsters 1 by 1 instead of swarming the flield with monsters using back row support.

Nice vid! Only one thing: I dont thing Dark Supremacy is that Bad going first. It has Kind of a Hot Red dragon Archfiend abyss effect and most of the Time you able to target 2-3 cards (spells and traps included). Yeah, its a Bit slow and in my opinion it Would be so much cooler if it was a Quick play spell. I dont get it, why Heros dont get an negate like that.

So a few things with this. I do think that the cards you showed kind of have a place, in Spight, Mimigoul, and Zombie pile, and while the use-case isn't immediate, I think they're fine as just more tools for a a player. One place they could really shine is Common Charity. It's a format I highly recommend looking into where you only play with common cards (typing that part out for people who have not heard of it). No expensive decks, no oppressive meta, no game warping staples, just a nice open lower pressure yet still competitive way to play the game, and a great place for cards like these. If you don't have it at your store, then find a night with no event happening, get your Yu-Gi-Oh pals together, and ask for it. Since the barrier to entry is so so low, it's one of the easier formats to get going at your local place, or just casually with friends. I built a super cool Beast deck for it. You can also try it on Master Duel in games with only N cards allowed (hit me up, I have a deck ready and I'd love to play!). I think it's also great if players do things kitchen table style and find/invent ways to play with fun cards like these. Lastly, if you are interested, my group has been working on a way to make Deck Master better, and it's a much lower power ceiling that allows for more innovations with cards like this. Let me know if you'd like me to share, we even made a simple single page printable PDF for it.

Very nice, I think the best way to bring out the full power of Evil heroes is to really lean into the fiend aspect of the deck and use cards that bring out the best of that element, but I really really like this build because of how faithful it is to the character. Honestly it feels like something you'd see in a Tag Force game or one of those DS games and I really love it (of course, as an Omni-hero hater I'll gladly take anything over that monstrocity). You should consider more character deck profiles. Not profiles that make a deck as strong as possible, but decks that fit the characters that use them. As an example, Yuri was a Predaplant user, but he was also really sadistic, so maybe a build that use's the effects of the Prediplants in some really degenerate and crippling ways. Anyways, another great vid, I'll have to use this time to catch up some of your other stuff (you are currently my favorite YugiTuber!).

Clear Vicious Knight is a walking Skill Drain. The ATK (for not allowing the opponent to use Special summoned monster effects) is not about the Monster(s) you use for the tribute summon, but only its own. And because it gets the ATK boost from your opponents strongest monster, you opponent is most likely not able to use monster effects on the field

I think that what they should do for Guardians is: 1- print Back Up Gardna because it was literally the first card Raphael summons in his duels and give him some search effect on top of the equip change 2- Retrain his main Guardians to have effects that let you special summon them if you have an equip spell in play on top of a bonus effect if they have their unique equip equipped to them 3- also some more consistency cards Literally that's what they need

I quite enjoy making this, a mix of my love for the series and the game (plus it helps that it's not super long to edit lmao). I'll definitely make some more so leave a comment to suggest any characters/deck to review too. I'll also try to get better at commentating live the gameplay.

Yupp, kinda stinks, It sucks that with a single format we have no place to play most of the cards. And with the gambling booster buisness model, Konami are encouraged to make a bunch of weak packfiller to make the good cards look even better by comparison. Would be neat to see a couple of lower power formats to give a place for more of the cards to be played, (& perhaps even an official no-banlist format, All the broken banned cards, totall chaos)

@1:10 that weird text is there because of hand knowledge rulings. Ex: you have 3 copies in your deck, open one copy, then manage to add one to hand WHILE triggering its effect. How do you know which one is activating? That weird text alleviates that ruling issue.

I always wish yugioh pack filler was less uneven. I know in some sets, I could have the entire core of a casual deck like nemmleria. Othertimes I have half a pile of dog crap or a copy of a card i would only put 1 copy of into a deck.

Pack filler is just that: Cards whose primary reason for existence is to fill packs so its harder and more expensive to get the cards you actually want. This can be alleviated with alt formats and drafts but ultimately it's just an inherent part of the game's business model that a majority of cards will be underpowered while a select few are highly coveted.

For Nibelung treasure just make it Valkyrie specific,like draw five Valkyrie cards or can only activate if you have 3 Valkyries on the field. The Valk's could really use some good draw support.

I think the reason of many duelists to not have their anime deck brought to the real game, is because they dont really do anything special. Konamy wants to be 100% sure to sell the next product, and the anime decks are just not strong enough to sell in modern yugioh. Another reason is that some of these decks could replace or go agains decks that konamy wants to print and sell in following years.

i have a question. do anime card texts prevail over normal real rules or do we decide whether a card effect works according to the rules. yuya uses a card like god-eyes phantom in arc v manga. and its last effect causes the opponent to set the cards in the pendulum zone face down in order to win the duel and cannot reactivate it for that turn. but there is no card effect that can do this in real life. there is no such concept. if a card is considered as a spell right now, why can't it be set? Of course, if we go with real life game rule logic, no such concept was created for these spell trap cards to be set except for Konami. Except for monsters.
