Hey! Mine just came with a power and ground and when it try wiring the power into the radio 12v I'm having an issue where the wire is getting caught when turning the wheel is there any other 12v sources I can use?
@BoostWeasel13 күн бұрын
You must add 12v to the coil spring follow me on instagram and DM me I can help you there instagram.com/matt_bear/profilecard/?igsh=d2x6d2V1dWFtN2Fw Or instagram.com/boostweasel/profilecard/?igsh=bXRscnp1M2I5d3gy

The single most stupid upgrade ever!!! Why on the steering wheel??? F1 and imsa wheels turn -10 and + 10. Daily drivers turn -40 and + 40. You’ll never see it. Get a rpm gauge for top of your dash. Way cheaper and functional. In other words, don’t do this.
@BoostWeaselАй бұрын
Your right... you should definitely never get one but everyone else is free to make their own decisions. I'm not sure what world you live in but no one ever said we're driving formula 1 🤣. You go screw a gauge into your dash with tecscrews I'll stick to the wheel 🫡

What’s under the pallet wood floor? Can I do this on dirt?
@BoostWeaselАй бұрын
Under the floor is roofing felt, it's breathable and keeps moisture away. As for the dirt part no you need to anchor the wood to the floor and dirt will not hold.

I added 2 new pins either side of the squib one is live and one neutral since the gt wheel does not have a stable ground you have to wire it directly otherwise the led panel and screen will shut down when you steer left or right.

How is the steering wheel working the shift lights worth it?
@BoostWeasel5 ай бұрын
Its working fine so far oil temp is not being displayed for some reason working on a solution for that. The shift lights are good and easier to judge than the stock one in the dash, they are also customisable which is a nice feature.

Thank you for this video! Mine is totally stuck too, thought it would be a 2 hour job, yeah.... 🙄 I got part of the hub and arms off to attack the bearing from behind, but I ran out of light and put it all back together again. Even my dad (who is 67!) came over to help me today, we still couldn't get it to budge. 🙄 lump hammer ordered and a set of ball joint splitters, I'll try again tomorrow. My muscles are screaming at me today after spending the day f-ing about yesterday trying to get it out!! I'll try it your way and just take the whole thing out, I have nearly 130,000 miles on my 86 (daily driver) so it isn't a surprise it is stuck / rusted in so bad. 😒 I'm wishing I hadn't bothered starting it and just paid Toyota to do it tbh! 😂

Sorry for late reply . I've been mad busy renovating the Workshop. Did you manage in the end? I can imagine ... first time I went at it with the biggest slidehammer this side of the pacific and that just pulled out the inner hub out of the bearing so had no choice but to remove the whole assembly. That's when I realized... why didn't I remove it in the beginning 🤣 you live and learn. Glad it helped you 💪
