removing a stuck wheel bearing is so satisfying 👨‍🔧 gt86 / brz

these wheel bearings where extremely stuck. if you don't have a removal tool this might help you. With some simple tools you can do this no problem.
torque specs are:
wheel = 120 nm
caliper bracket to hub= 80nm
caliper to bracket= 26nm
wheel bearing to hub= 85nm
upper ontrol arm= 80nm
toe link to hub= 60nm (Secure with pin)
lower control arm front=110nm
lower control arm rear=80nm
draveshaft nut=110nm (secure with notch)
abs sensor = 7.5nm

Mine is totally stuck too, thought it would be a 2 hour job, yeah.... 🙄 I got part of the hub and arms off to attack the bearing from behind, but I ran out of light and put it all back together again. Even my dad (who is 67!) came over to help me today, we still couldn't get it to budge. 🙄 lump hammer ordered and a set of ball joint splitters, I'll try again tomorrow. My muscles are screaming at me today after spending the day f-ing about yesterday trying to get it out!! I'll try it your way and just take the whole thing out, I have nearly 130,000 miles on my 86 (daily driver) so it isn't a surprise it is stuck / rusted in so bad. 😒 I'm wishing I hadn't bothered starting it and just paid Toyota to do it tbh! 😂

Sorry for late reply . I've been mad busy renovating the Workshop. Did you manage in the end? I can imagine ... first time I went at it with the biggest slidehammer this side of the pacific and that just pulled out the inner hub out of the bearing so had no choice but to remove the whole assembly. That's when I realized... why didn't I remove it in the beginning 🤣 you live and learn. Glad it helped you 💪
