I am a big fan of no-date dive watch homages. I can't afford $9k to $12k anymore for a Sub, so I've 'changed things up' and I've been having great fun collecting Steinhart, Ginault, MKII, San Martin, and Baltany. I really like the look of the Davosa USA model. Thanks for the review!

For me, width is very important, some say it is a complication in itself. 3 mm is a huge difference. AND the Laco costs more money! It's a no-brainer for me.

For fresh viewers: it's magnetized. The timegrapher pattern and flactuation proves that. It has to be demagnetized. The movement is prone to magnetism, it should be kept away from possible magnetic fields or generating devices. So avoid this problem, some brands have already replaced balance wheels spring with silicium based or other anti magnetic materials.

@ 19:09 FALSE!! No, a helium atom is not a molecule. A molecule is a chemical compound formed when two or more atoms join together chemically. Helium, on the other hand, is a noble gas and exists as single atoms. Therefore, a helium atom is not considered a molecule because it consists of only one atom! Research at it's best,period !!

Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!

Overall this is a great upgrade! Dial colours are safe but lack creativity and flair. Oris is fully capable of creating nice dial colours and textures.

Depends upon your point of view. The crisis was for the makers of mechanical watches who saw their sales drop significantly. Personally, I prefer the engineering involved in mechanical watches.

@@adventureswithtime previous models had some bezel play and misalignment issues. Mine would never be aligned above the 12 o’clock marker. Bezel was a bit lose and would backplay a bit. It was likely due to the bezel mechanics.

Nice enough watch, but 19mm lug width and no on-the-fly clasp for $2700? I would imagine those in the audience with deep enough pockets to clap and cheer at that price point won't be worried about the nit picky details after being plied with free booze though 😂

I really love the updated Divers and ordered mine for a good price. It is great that the watch comes with an extra rubber quick-release strap and Oris buckle. Most people don't buy Oris at RRP and that's not what I did either. The watch will probably depreciate from the price I bought it for even, but that doesn't matter to me as it will be a keeper in my collection.

I'm starting to get into the Chinese watches.. they have been able to clone most of the expensive movements and use top grade materials like sapphire crystals and titanium case for Budget low prices 50-500$... The days of overpriced watches are over.. as a watch lover of some of the beast time for new micro brand watches for their quality and reliability has caught up to the over priced brands

Dude... you place the watch next to your mobile phone!! I'd bet it's magnetized. Also bad amplitude. Should be well well 270 degrees. A magnetized movement will behave strange. You should NEVER put a mechanical watch near a phone, loudspeaker, laptop or anything else that might produce a magnetic field. Watch needs a service and a demagnetization procedure done to it. I've had a few old movements that was like this. After service and de-magnetized they performed better than new.

I fly frequently for work, and usually I wear a travelers GMT on my flying days. I find it satisfying to shift the hour hand shortly after takeoff. Please also note the Wise Adamascus GMT watches. They are 904L steel bargains. I just pre-ordered the upcoming model that has a gold-capped bezel and crown. I will also mention the Montblanc Geosphere, which I own and enjoy, though the price probably casts it out of this list. This is a clever cross between a true GMT and a world-timer.
