That’s $400k a year and no mortgage payment. The worst thing you’ll be forced to pay is property taxes on that $5m property. But that’ll only eat up maybe $50k in property taxes. Leaving you with $350k. Maybe set aside another $50k for needs and the other $300k is just fun money.

I'd say 10 mil since it's pretty much the minimum amount. You need to buy yourself a nice house and then also have a few rental properties. You'll have some left over which you can put into savings or you can spend it. I guess I'd put it into savings but like those households will just generate you money.
