This is what i was absolutely terrified about when i first started doing bell ringing at my local church… I was scared of snapping the rope and it sucks up the pipe never to be seen again…

Half my family are from Portsmouth (my fourteen-year-old brother lies in Milton Cemetery, killed 1969, with his grandparents) but this is the first time I have heard the Bells of St Thomas's. Thank you all.

Ringing up, in oprder; possibly the most skilled feat of any band of ringers. Well done! As for the sweetest peal in all England, try Lincoln Cathedral.

Used to ring at Durham, with the University Society of Change-Ringers between 1971-74. We practised at St Brandon's Brancepeth. A glorious peal for the UK's finest Romanesque cathedral.

Absolutely superb! Ringing up takes real skill. Your spacing is just great. In my own opinion, the sweetest peal of bells in the UK is that of Lincoln Cathedral.

All great bells but from this video I love Chewton Mendip, and how hypnotic was the Devon call changes. Whilst I'm a method ringer I do find Devon ringing refreshingly different and it is done so well. I love the rais8ng and lowering in peal. For some reason method ringers end lowering with calling 3, miss one and catch.
