The bells of Martinstown, Dorset

I was fast-packing my way along one of my favourite loops last Friday and the footpath runs right by the church. I heard the bells and stopped at the stone steps that take you from the path into the church grounds. I stood there grinning from ear to ear at the beauty of the sound the bells make. Thank you so much for the video.

love these bells, always a pleasure when I come down here. They're very similar actually to the front six at Abergavenny, being cast in the same year by the same founder - Abergavenny are heavier round the front, but they're much the same really.

🧐Synchronicity ? I bumped into this film last night & was going to make a comment today lamenting the fact that these heavenly sounding bells haven't been ringing regularly for a very long time when just this morning (unless they were last night when I was asleep) they have begun doing so again !
