I had a bed infection when my daughter was born in 1983 August. And back then you didn't get the patches. We got injected, call the way up-and-down my arms. They found out what was going on.

I have never had the patch test but both my daughter and I have had scratch tests done you go to the allergist and they make little scratches on your back and expose them to different allergens. It took about 15 minutes and then we were done. Good luck with your patch test.

Great haul Jaime!😍 I know it's hard to concentrate on things like cooking when you have so many other things on your mind. The main thing is not to stress about it! I know that's easier said than done but I've actually had the scratch testing done. Granted it was before the turn of the century but the process is basically the same. They make little scratches on your back and expose them to different elements. If there's a change on the scratch mark, there's some type of allergy reaction. I even went through a series of allergy shots after I had the testing done. It's a matter of introducing your body to small doses of what you're allergic to. That way you build up a resistance to that allergy. This is the same principal of consuming honey that was grown in the region where you live. You're building up that resistance of things in nature that you're allergic to. I just saw a video about kids being allergic to peanuts. They found that if they introduced small portions of peanut butter to young children that they weren't allergic to peanuts as they got older. If the kids weren't exposed to the peanut butter, most of them were allergic to peanuts when they were older. Dealing with allergies is almost opposite of what people think. It's basically building up an immunity to things you react to. I hope this makes sense and maybe takes away some of your fears. When I had allergy shots, it was of materials I had shown an reaction to. That's why I've always heard how good it was to get honey that came from the area you live in. Sometimes I think we spend more time avoiding things that could potentially be good for us. I know you'll feel better when the testing is over and you have a plan set in motion! Just try to trust the process, they've been doing it for a lot of decades. You've had a lot of discoveries this past year and are dealing with many changes. It may take a while to figure out what's going on with your body. Sometimes we feel like we're just stuck in a loop of hurry up and wait. But your body is reacting to something and I'm sure they will figure it out! I wouldn't be totally surprised if you eventually had to have DNA testing. They're using so many new resources to find out things going on in your life. They may not all make sense right now but could potentially give you lots of answers. Just hang in there Jaime! This path will eventually make sense!😚 Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰

Omg!! I know how you feel with the eczema I have had severe eczema now for the last six or seven years. I have had the skin patch testing done, the results were so extensive that there is no way that I could even keep everything out of my everyday life. Some things I have found that help me are, eliminate anything with fragrances and tons of ingredients, use unscented soaps or, even cleansers with no soap( you can find them). Also.... Try to avoid stress!!!! I know you have ADHD. So everything stresses you out. DONT make yourself do anything that you don't absolutely have to do. I'm a fan if you can only post a video once a week or two while you are trying to heal then. Don't worry about us fans. Your health and, the happiness of you and your family are the most important thing,. We will all still watch your videos when your able to post them. I pray for God to heal you, and hope you can find a solution soon. Tina M, Peoria IL.

So glad you are feeling better 🤗😊❤️ you look like you do👍🙏🙏 I have horrible allergies and I buy Dr Bronners plain Castile soap. I buy it at Kroger in the baby supply isle. It's expensive but if you look up the recipes the bottle lasts a very long time. I usually don't have to buy a new bottle for two years. I use it for our shampoo, dish and hand soap and all purpose cleaner.

Great haul Jaime!😍 It's good that you could take home food from your sister's wedding and not have to plan or prepare meals this week!😁 I have a friend who is allergic to dish soap and it breaks out her hands badly. She even has to be careful what she washes her hands with. My sister uses Cetaphil and they have a body wash and other applications. This is probably the mildest thing you can find for your hands. It's still very hot in Texas. And I will continue to say that until October or November!😋 And I only mention this because July and August are our hottest months.🥵 I'll see my doctor this week and I know he'll be disappointed the last injections didn't work. The pain has been worse with no relief in the past 4 weeks. Not sure where we go from here.🙁 Hope you've been having fun with Allison being out of school! School starts here again in August, the break seems so short. When I was in school, it didn't start until the day after Labor Day and ended in May. The year I graduated, the next year started in late August. The break has gotten shorter every year. One of my nephews and his wife used to make soap. I'll ask them if it's something you could use. But in the meantime, check out the Cetaphil. That's all my sister uses now. You can even use the body wash on your hair. Have you noticed any difference after cutting out wheat? It might be too soon to tell yet. Trial and error takes a long time.😉 And a lot of foods cause allergies. The hard part is finding which ones. Hope you can find some answers!☺️ Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰

I'll be praying for some relief for you! I bought the Cetaphil cream last month and love it. I saw they make a ton of other products too, so I'll be checking those out. After my appointment with the allergist, I stopped cutting out food because she said it wouldn't make a lot of difference! Now I'm holding out until the end of the month when I can get the patch testing.
@vickiepatterson1748
@vickiepatterson1748 17 күн бұрын
@@NoGettingOffThisTrain They make a lot of products with no scent and if I recall correctly, you got laundry detergent and maybe other things. But as far as your body goes, Cetaphil is probably your best bet. I can see how omitting certain foods could take a while for results. We never quite know what our body reacts to. Well, unless you break out immediately after eating something specific. I used to take antihistamine every day. Certain times of the year were worse than others. I've lived within a 30 mile radius my entire life. You would think if I was allergic to something, it would have shown up sooner. But your body goes through a chemical change every 7 years and that's why things will cause reactions that you never had before. I don't have to take an antihistamine every day any more. But occasionally I'll feel the tickle in my throat and have to take one. I remember a time when I could buy a bottle of 1000 antihistamine pills and they were dirt cheap. Then some wise guy started using it to make meth and it suddenly became a controlled drug and the price skyrocketed. For a while I got a package of 48 for $2.50 but now it's $7.99 for the smallest package. Luckily I don't need it as often but I always carry some in my purse just in case. I don't think you have mentioned any food that disagreed with you. But as you probably know by now, it could be any number of things from the grass to the pizza. But it sounds more like a topical thing with the sensitivity you're having. You might try wearing gloves when you're working with different things. It could even be something that touches your skin before you wash your hands. Then soap can aggravate it even more. My friend who can't use dish soap anymore was getting blisters when she used Dawn. I hope your reaction doesn't get that bad. There are several natural products made by Native and they're supposed to be milder. So many people are having reactions and they're changing a lot of products. Time and patience, the biggest factors right now!🙏

My eczema flares when I eat highly processed, high sugar, and/or high sodium. Lots of convenience foods are sugar/salt bombs. I switched over to more homemade recipes. I also shop fruits/veg that are in season. Grocery shop and prep fresh ingredients for the week on Sunday, it’s a game changer. Don’t be afraid of eating the same meals over and over. Also correctly storing fruits and veggies for a longer life will help. I fed my family of three on $80 dollars a week, that’s $320 a month. But you could go even cheaper. Make an inventory of your pantry/fridge and plan healthy meals around those.

The only way I could see heating up the burrito is to thaw the entire thing out first. It might be better not to freeze the tortilla at all. Just freeze the inside ingredients and let it thaw before putting into the tortilla. The tortilla is totally different than the inside ingredients and I don't see the tortilla doing well after freezing it. I think it would come together better if the tortilla was fresh and the frozen contents were thawed. It takes less than 10 seconds to heat a tortilla and it takes a bit longer to heat the contents. That's why they never taste right when heating them together. It would probably be better if the tortilla wasn't frozen at all. That may be why they always seemed like mush. I wouldn't freeze the whole burrito. Keep it separate and heat it separately.

Great haul Jamie!😍 My sister is trying to stay away from wheat too. A lot of people have trouble with gluten and we have many alternatives these days. Are they testing specifically for food? Sometimes allergies are from different foods and sometimes it's totally random. What about dish detergent or laundry? Sometimes it's something you deal with every day. My test showed I'm allergic to mesquite trees. Do you know who has mesquite trees? Texas! They grow wild here and they're very hard to get rid of. And it's not something that bothers me daily either. There can be a lot of testing and trying different things before you find out what's bothering you. Hope you're enjoying your summer! It's still hot in Texas!🥵 But we did have some rain a couple of days ago. It rained so hard and fast for an hour or so then the sun came back out.☺️ Hope you get some answers soon!🤞 Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰
