This should have more likes. I appreciate it. Very informative, and very funny jokes. I have a Pituophis snake that someone caught and donated to our store and I'm not sure which specie it is.

@ recently I saw one in a 9’ long tank that was split into one half terrain one half water. She really appeared to like to swim. But the area she can swim in seems a bit small to me. She can like swim in circles. I’m not sure if splitting the tank like that was the best idea because she does appear to want to go out when a human passes by.

I have no clue what I'm going to do for my Argentine black and white tegu it is 256 gallons going to see what plants i can get to grow in his substrate working on a plex glass lid and he has the lighting ubv and a humidifier though may add a fogger. Its a work in progress for sure trying to build a hid or get him to hide was a futile endeavor he is a rescue 1 1/2 years old (too aggressive I guess this is why he was given up ...though since his adoption 3 ish months ago he has been nothing but silly and sweet gets along with the dogs and cats hell he will carefully take food out of my hands now) he seeks out my dirty clothes to sleep under it is to the point that none work shirts are just put in a corner of his tank till laundry day and cycled out... I swear if this is guberty as people call it i think I have a saint on my hands any plant suggestions that he wont kill and get sick on If he eats it?

PS Ackies are diggers not climbers. When your breeding you need 6 to 12 inches of substrate. About 3 inches at least for one that's not breeding. They can be bought for $350. Yellows are $250
@CoryBoyd-ro4gkАй бұрын
In the wild Ackies mainly target lizards. Australia had no rodents before the coming of people. So insects, eggs, and other lizards would have been normal prey items. I'm sure they scavenged dead birds and Marsupials. I've bred them and keep three now. Cary in Tucson
