Need to take out all the non nVidia based laptops because frankly for 3d modeling they are useless. Anything under 16gb of Vram is also useless. That really leaves one mobile GPU for my use case the 4090 and that's ridiculously overpriced. 3D modeling and Laptops just do not work.

I upgraded from the SP6 with Signature KB and Surface Pen 1 to the OLED SP11 with upgraded storage to 1TB (yes, you can easily upgrade the SSD), Flex HB and Surface Pen 2. I used and use the SP for business travel personal tech, with what was a generic Windows PC laptop at home. When not using the SP, it lives in the same form-fitting, padded, waterproof case that I used to use for the SP6. No such protection for my new SL7. Both sides are anodised aluminium. Yet there's not a scratch on it. Why complain about one side of the SP11 having a single exposed side when any other premier laptop such as a MacBook has double the problem?

I hate Apple for the closed natured of their system, poor third party device support, lack of upgradability and repairability. I hate MacOS for its clunky interface out of 2000s and poor software choice. But even more than these two I hate noise. And my MSI Creator with its tinnitus fans screams into my ears "Buy a Macbook" every time I run anything serious on it. I think I'll try to wait to see what AMD Ai Max has to offer and if this last resort fails I would have to re-join the Apple cult. Been there with a Mac Mini, successfully escaped it by building a powerful Windows desktop and selling the bugger. But as for the laptops, Windows based machines are in a vulnerable position. Apple Arm chips are just too strong. C'mon AMD give us something already!

The problem with pz13 is it's an arm device. Some windows apps won't work with it.

Dude had the laptop for a year and not only did he not realize what "the last two settings" of the backlight keyboard are, but didn't even check the Vantage software that allows him to fully customize them in any way he wants. The Problem with the G1a is going to be the cooling solution in a such thin chassis. It will not utilize enough power to really benefit from the power of the chip. But I am still wondering whether it could be worth it to wait for a device that has one of the AI Max chips as a gaming/productivity hybrid with really long battery life. I just don't believe this one is capable.

If you're doing anything serious with AE you're going to need 64 GB ram minimum AND 500 GB fast storage. Few laptops can get to 64 GB and depending on your workflow, you'll probably need double that to not run into annoying out of ram errors in certain comps. Just make sure that you can upgrade your ram before buying.
