Hard luck bro. I had a bit of the same morning just pulling in shark after shark so wasn’t any good for the content side of things but still heaps of fun. I’ve noticed that the high wind fly with caution message came through and then the drone slowed down to like 5m per sec to try and stabilise the video footage. If you go into settings when you get that message then turn on the high wind mode it will have higher wind resistance and will not give a shit about the wind. This setting defaults back to off after every flight though so you will have to flick it back on every time.

@StephenBastian-s4u hey mate if by casting you mean flying out the baits and dropping them. I've done 600m. The flight capability is 10km but it would easily do 800m+ i will be doing some bigger drops the next time I go out. You just get less drops on a flight

@darrychristhoper4595 hey mate! This depends a lot on personal preference and the fish you're targeting along with spool capacity of the reel and strand no. Of the braid! In this case I'm use 30lb tasline 8-strabd braid which is strong enough for me and fits enough on my very small spool. You may want heavier fighting bigger fish in deeper water tho. But you do want high quality 8+ strand braid so it is thinnest and behaves best with the rod etc Cheers for watching

So wading in deep mud to catch bass is the answer.so what happens if you get stuck? Or have a heart attack while your wading in the mud.Do you have any kind of insurance?
@fisheatrepeatАй бұрын
@MrPaulmclaren722 hey mate! I have a few answers to that 1. most importantly, before I came over from NZ Marcus advised me to get good quality waders that have separate shoes. The waders basically have waterproof socks/booties that you put your feet into. This means you have better movement and worst case you can actually take your feet out and then you could just get out on your hands and knees. 2. I'm an experienced fisherman brought up on the coast of north island of NZ. I've done floundering with spears and netting in mud and brought up on a farm with gumboots and mud haha I've Def been in worse! 3. If I have a heart attack I'm fkd 🤣 but at least there's reception here. I go fishing and hunting in NZ in the middle of NO WHERE and having a health event there would be much worse. Tho I do carry a PLB with me on dodgy trips. 4. I had travel insurance yes always have travel insurance and I'm a Kiwi (NZ) we have free health care inc from injuries overseas so that is never a worry on my mind thankfully 👌 Thanks for watching and great question!
@MrPaulmclaren722Ай бұрын
@@fisheatrepeat to be honest with you what kind of insurance did your guide have? After all your just following his lead .I have seen Marcus in action and how deep he likes to be in the mud. I have stocking foot waders as well as many fishermen do ,you still have to undo boots by which time could be under a few feet of thick mud.then you will need to get yourself out of your waders.Good luck on that one.
@fisheatrepeatАй бұрын
@MrPaulmclaren722 I never felt unsafe, mate. He knows I'm a Kiwi, we were also mates and knew each other, back in NZ before I went over. we generally like to push the limits a bit. I'd never consider insurance, I'd never ever sue unless i wasn't comfortable in that situation. it doesn't even register in my mind. Note I'm a Food safety quality manager in my day job, I specialise in risk mitigation so I'm not saying I'm non-chalant just that I wouldn't have done it if I didn't feel sale and likewise Marcus wouldn't have pushed me. I've absolutely been in MUCH nastier mud by myself at night floundering which is far more dangerous. I have travel insurance and as I said if I was injured I'd take 4 weeks off work on ACC pay 👌 Saying all of the above. I'm not overly keen to fish/hunt in US because of all the suing, insurance risks etc in NZ majority of risk falls on the person unless the guide has deliberately put you in harms way, where you were unaware of the risk. Cheers
@MrPaulmclaren722Ай бұрын
@@fisheatrepeat I understand what you are like you I have been stuck in mud for a time with the tide flooding in so I know how it feels for real. What is the benefit of red light?
@fisheatrepeatАй бұрын
@azooozalzhrani3413 hey mate great question!! It's faaaar less bright as is the weakest light on the visible light spectrum. It's awesome for 2 reasons: #1 using on a boat or anywhere where you have bright Nav lights or deck lights and don't want the headlight to impinge on your white light visibility or prevent you seeing in front of you. #2 when out hunting in the bush, it's muuuch weaker than standard white light. This means you can see where you're walking but animals can't see the light from further away so it's a lot more discreet 🤙
