how many litres is that watering can? I cannot find anything more than 10L watering cans so wanted to check if a 10L watering can is sufficient. Also - will the attachment work with any watering can
@LawnsmithTV Жыл бұрын
This is a 10L watering can. The sprinkle bar should fit your average watering can used for gardening.

If my grass is long, do I mow first, then rake it straight after, apply moss killer/lawn feed after?
@LawnsmithTV Жыл бұрын
Apologies for the late reply. Please see procedure here however if you plan to do some overseeding afterwards, then we recommend waiting until Autumn to do this - www.lawnsmith.co.uk/lawn-care-advice/moss-control-removal/moss-removal

This happens with soils that are too wet or sticky. In these situations use solid spikes www.lawnsmith.co.uk/rolling-lawn-aerator

I don't understand why the straps are different, why does one have a hook and the other has to be threaded through?!
@LawnsmithTV2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I think you've already had a reply via our customer support team but if not one strap permanently attaches and the one strap with the hook is a quick release to make it easier to put on and take off the sprayer. See the instructions and box images.

Allowing product to that hasnt been dissolved to be discarded, dilutes your careful measurements..!
@LawnsmithTV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, good point but the amount discarded is perhaps 1000th of the total volume so doesn't make a bit of difference.
@MisterBoy3162 жыл бұрын
If you are working on multiple passes, how do you work out what dilution to use and know how many m2 per litre your sprayer will give? e.g. if you want 5g/m2 of dry ferrous sulphate how do you work out the g/L?
@LawnsmithTV2 жыл бұрын
John, in the assistance documents we advise doing a spray with just clean water to work out how much you need. This is also stated in the video.

Blimey! 5 mins watering every day for the next fortnight!!.?? That’s impossible with my big lawn.
@LawnsmithTV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Margaret. Nice to have a big lawn which as you say is difficult to water therefore time your seeding to coincide with wetter weather just as the farmer does.
@margaretlavender96472 жыл бұрын
All excellently shown. BUT, all this hand worked sowing, brushed into soil……but you have here a small lawn! Mine is so much bigger.

Why does fertiliser stain the flags orange?
@LawnsmithTV2 жыл бұрын
It's the iron content in the fertiliser that does the staining which is why we don't add it to 90% of our fertilisers so you don't have to worry about staining

The problem with drop spreaders , type made in USA by Scotts, is that they can't handle the rocky granular type of material sold by most companies. And that is usually the lower cost option.

Great video. Thank you for sharing. I have just scarifier my lawn which is now looking a bit bare. I also added a combined fertiliser and weed killer which says I shouldn't over seed for 2 weeks. When I do overseed, will I need to add more fertiliser? Can I walk on the grass after overseeding? Thanks for your help. Regards

At least 2 weeks. Adding more will depend on what you first used. Enquire here [email protected]
