Yes, they work Monday through Friday out of Manville and usually leave Manville Yard around noon. Only very rarely do they work weekends.

Metuchen still belongs to Conrail, they run a one local out of the yard, as well as one transfer job to the yard which originated out of Oak Island. The Raritan Central runs one train a day to Metuchen in the morning for interchange.

No, that's Conrail Shared Assets' Lehigh Line under the control of the North Jersey Dispatcher. Conrail's portion of the Lehigh runs from CP Port Reading Junction in Manville to CP Pike in Newark. Run through trains on CSX come off the Trenton Line in Manville, traverse the Lehigh to CP Valley where they take the connecting tracks to the Passaic and Harsimus Line at CP Stock, and eventually to the Northern Branch at CP Hack. The Northern Branch connects the P&H to the lower CSX River Line at CP 1, that is how CSX trains get between the Trenton and River Lines. As for NS trains to Croxton, they'll go from the NS to Conrail Lehigh at Port Reading Junction, and take the same route to get to Croxton Yard since that is off the Northern Branch in Jersey City. NS trains going to the Port, Oak Island, or Doremus Auto Terminal will take their connections in Newark. As for your other questions yes, going to Conrail you will get the same trains as you would in Manville for both CSX and NS, with the exception of H76.
