I was at 6th grade elementary when this song came out. Now, almost 53 and I still listening to it and remembering those days of my childhood and beginning high school on '84. This is the kind of music that will never die. How I wish nowadays bands go back to this kind of music again. The 80's will forever be the BEST decade for music. How I miss those days that I would like to have a time machine to get back to that time, talk to myself to enjoy life and don't make the mistakes that I did and keep on my young years. From now on, expand my 80's music collection to listen at home or when driving, specially when going on open long roads.

The singer looks like Harold Lloyd. His affected melodramatic croon reminds us just how pervasive was the influence of David Bowie and Bryan Ferry in the 1980's.

I dig it but the groove just ain’t there like when the faces backed it up. Tempo is a bit fast. What makes this song is the subtle pauses. Still decent but the decline is under way
@alaskanprincess93868 күн бұрын
Rod actually changes up the tempo in many of his live performances. Many artists actually do the same thing. You probably are happier just sitting home listening to a DVD. Rod Stewart in decline?? I'm curious: do lobotomies hurt? Asking for a friend.

@ Lobotomies hurt, good one. I see you use that line regularly on posts you disagree with. Maybe get a new line, even your wife says your too predictable now
