I think you missing the point of owning a corvette.The corvette is not supposed to be luxury, is supposed to be aggressive,fast, loud and raw muscle power. Everything that you are mentioning corvette is not known for, don’t try to make a truly sport car into a daily driver boring car. For that buy a domestic car and you will be happier with no complaints.

Your mileage is really low. When I set the cruise control and drive the speed limit I get 26 - 28 mpg. My best is 32mpg (measured in 50 mile increments). In the city if I drive aggressively then I’ll drop to 10 - 13 mpg. But I’ve got 20k miles, so I’m definitely broken in.

Beautiful car, I still remember picking up my first Corvette back in the early 70s. I’ve had many Corvettes since then and getting ready to order a new C8 for 2025.

After having a 29 Grand Sport, it’s the little itty bitty brakes and the over that bother me. I’ve had mine 51 miserable days.

I bought my C8 Stingray 2lt on April 15, 2024 I have put 75 miles on it. what an amazing ride.

What's crazy is many dealers are offering brand new ones at invoice. So if you paid $10K over it's probably worth about $20K less right now.

The wheel is dope, but all black hides the design IMO. You can't see the wheel design especially at night. Maybe would have looked better in a gunmetal color. But you like it so that's what matters. I have a C8, getting wheels soon.

Wait until the depreciation kicks in on the C8’s. And out of warranty repairs kick in. Just a normal Corvette experience. C9 coming will accelerate C8 depreciation.

The hardest thing about owning a C8 is wiping the smile off my face each time I get into and out of the car.

I traded in my ‘18 SS m6 for my c8 & id thought I’d miss my manual, I do not one bit. The ‘24 model has the soft touch frunk close. Sound system is my Hellcat is wayyy better than the c8

Nice video. Not the usual tech spec talk, just a more casual “how I use it” perspective. I just bought a used 2021 HTC w/1,300 miles on it (not a typo), and I love it. I put 91k on my C6 Vette before I sold it, and expect to rack up daily driving and fun miles on this one too. I always seem to buy a new car during the rainy season here in NorCal so, like you, I’m pretty much committed to driving it rain or shine. The comment about the Corvette Community is a real thing. I didn’t ever do a run in my C6, but I’ve already joined a group on a Sierra foothills run during my third week of ownership. A great bunch of car enthusiasts, and it’s really fun to see a long line of Vettes on a twisty road. I hope you continue to enjoy yours, and I just sub’d to see what else you come up with.

The thing is corvette means revolutionary. Corvette has always brought on their A game. C8 wasn’t revolutionary at all they just reversed engineered a Ferrari. Now it’s a sweet ride and all I feel like they should’ve named it something different. That’s where the separation of old corvette fans and new corvette fans happen. We were blessed with finding a 2023 C8 HTC equipped with exactly what I would have ordered, 3LT, mag Rosa, lift, performance exhaust, front splitter, low spoiler, and lots of carbon flash accents on the arctic white Vette. I am 75 years old and this Vette is the best vehicle I have ever driven. We went to Hawaii in 1994 for our 25th anniversary and while we were on Maui we rented a jeep wrangler. I liked it so much we bought one when we got home. Maui is a dangerous place to visit.

I LOVE the C8 Corvette and I like your honest take on it. I bought a used 91 Corvette in 1996! I loved that car. I wanted a C8 when they first came out but it was VERY pricey. Instead I bought a used 2017 GT350. Saved some cash and I enjoy the car on occasion. But ONE day I will buy a used C8. I love the fact that my favorite Ferrari is a 458! The C8 is just the perfect car that cost thousands less than the 458! Plus, it won't cost you an arm and a leg to own it!! Let all the haters hate!! Life is too short to drive boring cars!! I saw that on a tee shirt! lol I'll just experience the C8 through your eyes until I get my own someday....

In the case of the C8, I have learned that $$ can buy happiness. Its the best $100K (Cdn) that I have ever spent on anything in my life and it has literally enriched our lives. We have met so many mid engine and C8 owners and have gatherings regularly to either go for tours and sightseeing or pursue some track events or to get together for dinner. Amazing people, all of them. And the Lambo and Ferrari and McLaren owners give props to the C8 as a peer within this category of cars. We have done 3 long trips in the car with a weeks plus of luggage etc - and its awesome. Best vehicle I've ever had and still draws a crowd after my 3rd summer with it. Still exciting every time I climb into it.

No regrets on my C8 purchase. If you can do take the Ron Fellows C8 owners driving course, you will appreciate what your Corvette is capable of.

The stock wheels are atrocious. Insane that Chevy actually sells these. My opinion is any wheel that is all black will age poorly like the avocado colored appliances from the 70’s. Monotone……no. Needs some contrast.
