Wow. Late in the game here given this was posted a while ago. Did you use 2 different thicknesses for MDF? How or why does it come out looking 3d’ish? Thanks for sharing

It looks 3D because half the wall is the MDF boards and the other half is an empty space the same shape as the boards. Gives it some depth.

technical question: isn't that rain faucet head too heavy to only hold itself on that 1/2 inch thread? I'm about to install mine but it feels too heavy... maybe there's a way to support it better or I'm just overthinking it?

Still disrupts the airflow. The tv is only like 400 dollars, so not the end of the world. 3 years vs 5 years of service shouldn't matter much. Probably gonna give it to the kids for their Nintendo after it develops aberrations. They just want it to look nice when it's off

Cabinets are standard height at 34.5”. The shelf takes up the rest of the 8’ ceiling

Did you ever have a problem with the cabinet lining up when you fold it up. I have some spaces on either side and I cant figure out why? How far are the pins supposed to go into the holes?

You should have a small gap for the bed to fold down freely. The key is making it look consistent all the way around. Much like a cabinet reveal.
