Great technique for a tent from a tarp. I realy like the British Army Stuff. But for me it looks a bit to small for sleep inside. I have 2 original Basha's, 1 with that pattern (DPM) and 1 with the new british pattern similiar to multicam. Both have the same size 250cmx220cm (I quess) and it is not so big like it looks like. That is the reason why I allways use my Carinthia Bivi Bag from the Dutch Army as a sleeping tent and my Basha is the raincover for the time I don't sleep. But I will try your technique as soon as possible to look if it is a good choice for me. Thanks and best wishes from Germany

Hello Sam👋🏻 That setup would do me a treat. I look forward to having a go at doing that style of shelter when I get a chance to go out. Ps. Where did you find the lid for the Steel mug? I'm assuming it's a reproduction US army canteen/mug/stove? Mines from Temu and made of Aluminium, but the dimensions are likely to be the same. (*Edited because autocorrect keeps clipping my sentences)

Hi bud how you doing... I got that lid from ebay been searching for one for the past two years I don't know if it's a copy or repo. But it fits the canteen cup that's all that matters thanks for watching atb sam 👍

Twice in my vids I've been surrounded by multiple dogs off leads, out of control with useless people. One I filmed and one when the camera was off. I especially hate 'professional' dog walkers. When they let them all off the lead they become a pack. A pro dog walker was killed last year by the dogs she was walking. And I wasn't at all surprised. It will happen again one day I'm sure. Apart from that, lovely sausage roll there Sam. ATB.

Sorry about the puppers, Brother. ID-10-Tangos that have no idea on how to train or handle dogs are the norm. I have 6 dogs (Husky-German Shepherd mixes), so I completely understand. Mine are trained to walk off-leash, and guard/protect the family, NOT to do like those dogs did. No squirrel chasing. No bird chasing. No car chasing. No dog chasing. No cat chasing. Guard my kids, guard the ex-wife, get them to safety, let me handle the threats. They are trained to "hit" targets, depending on the situation. But, I apologize for ignorant dog walkers. Hope you get another chance soon to set up the hammock/basha kit again. Keep up the great work !!!

I've got the bushbox lf, it's a brilliant stove, and solid in construction,those onetigris stoves look decent, cant wait until you get the evil eyes one,is it safe to use a frying pan like that with that kind of stove ?
@thefucrew986521 күн бұрын
@@OutdoorPrepper2025 , as long as you do it safely, you should be fine. Just make sure, just like on a kitchen stove, to not let the flames get over the pan/pot/skillet edges and get in contact with the grease or oil in the pan/pot/skillet. Mind your fire, and also, you can use coals in there as well, to cook. It just may take a bit longer, due to the distance between the coals and the pan/pot/skillet/cup. I use coals to keep my food/hot drink warm while doing other things, or just relaxing. Hope this helps.
@OutdoorPrepper202520 күн бұрын
@@thefucrew9865yes I know the score as I have the bushbox,what I meant was is it ok to use a big non stick pan over a wood stove and it doesn't do anything to the non stick coating ?, cheers for your reply.

Great video bud. I own both the DPM & MTP bashas. They're heavier than my DD tarps but a lot stronger n more robust. I know the basha can beused anyway up so doesn't really matter. but one tip mate, keep the webbing side of the basha facing down to the ground as you don't want the webbing getting wet. the basha already weighs about a kilo so pretty heavier for a tarp. but if the webbing gets wet that just adds to weight in your pack. so I always keep that side facing the floor to keep it dry.
