@@extremeencounter7458 yea, i had to get a drill bit about 2 ft long. Pretty small, i believe 1/4”. But i drilled the weld joints around the baffle. It was a bit of a pain, but worth it.

Years ago I had one of the all metal Ooga horns on an old truck but it got away from me at some point so I just went to the Pate Swap Meet and bought one like I used to have, cost me 150 bucks but it’s the real deal.

There's nothing wrong with the klaxon. It just needs to be adjusted to sound right. There's a bolt in the centre of the end where the wires go in, sometimes with a nut locking it in place. Slacken the nut, back the bolt off a little and try again. Keep trying till it sounds right then lock the nut back on.

2:00 yes sounds way better, but i think would be even better if it spun up and spun down a bit slower for a bit longer of the ooga sound
@melonhead16763 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I’ve heard of people adding resistors to these. But I wouldn’t know Which one to use.
@LuficariusRatspeed Жыл бұрын
@@melonhead1676 The original klaxons were 6 volt, which most need resistors for to make work, but get a better sound.
@jnic20034 жыл бұрын
Originally I wasn't getting the "gaaa" sound out of my harbor freight one just the "OoOoOoO". But theirs a little screw and nut on the back you can adjust to dial in the proper sound. Still doesn't sound 100% original but better
@melonhead16764 жыл бұрын
Ah okay. I was curious if that did anything. On mine it has some paint marking where the screw was, almost like it was calibrated or something. I was afraid to touch it, lol.
@jnic20034 жыл бұрын
@@melonhead1676 yeah same I just had to turn it to the left a little and now mine works fine. But I don't think a lot of people know Abt this, cuz a lot of reviews on hf website complain Abt it not making the gaaa sound
@melonhead16764 жыл бұрын
I read one review where I guy said he added a resistor to it and it helped, but he didn’t give any specifics to try. I’ll have to try adjusting it to see what I can get, thanks for the advice! Much appreciated.
@kenweller20324 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking that adding a good sized electrolytic capacitor in parallel with the horn would stretch the spin-up/down a bit.

Emmanuel Loaiza similar here, lol. I hadn’t driven mine and the battery died. Couldn’t lock it or take the keys out. I started to panic lol. I ended up seeing a video about a cruse I think? And it had something similar.
