Hi guys!! im the gamedev!. First, thank you for your feedback. Now, the news. i'm listening the people, mt force v1.1 its released * changes on a better control for the character in the air *new difficulty settings (normal and hard) Normal changes : it has better balance, less hp for enemies, some parts like the zombies on stage 3 are nerfed, weapons damage is boosted, bosses reduced hp, reduced hitbox on stage2 for the bike, and more... i was so sad hearing some stuff on your video, i want to polish the game the most possible. I'm gonna start working on version 1.2 really soon :) best regards from San Luis, Argentina.

Question, How do you select 2P costumes in this game (at least on all versions of the game, preferably this version and the PS2 Sega Ages release)?

@@M0rinkashi In the saturn version I think you press C or Z to select 2P costume. In PC I think you just press UP. In PS2 version I think you hold start whilst selecting a character

Thanks for the review. From watching the footage and listening to your review it's apparent that the game needed a lot more time in the oven. I do like the variety that they seem to have included like the shmup section, the Battletoads-like bike section and the fact that they made use of the 3D space which the latest Contra rarely did. Some of the animations look very rudimentary though. Even the basic run animation looks off and could be improved by making the character bob up and down a little when running so that it looks more natural.

@@aryudsoh The animations are dreadful and need a lot of work to fix them. The characters and controls feel very stiff and limited. It doesn't depend which character you pick as they all handle like a fridge on wheels. The 3D shoot em up section while nice is very poorly executed. It reminded me abit of Alien Storm but without any of the fun or excitement. The bike stage is perhaps the best part of the game yet that too is brought down due to terrible music and an environment that just seems like it was copy/pasted and that never changes. It's a game which if given more time and effort could have been a good game. However in it's current state it feels rushed, handles poorly, is missing several things you'd expect as a standard and has stages/areas that clash and don't go together.

Definitely getting My First Asset Salad vibes form this. Also looks like someone who doesn't understand any of Unity's graphical features. Probably more than a couple of months needed to fix it up.

@@cloudcity4194 Pretty much agree. Its a first time devs game (I think) and whilst it isn't bad its certainly not great. It needs a lot of work to make it into something good

@@robospacekitty2007 first time is fine... everyone has to start somewhere. Even using assets is okay, but the way they've used them they don't mesh together well and they're so raw you can easily find them on the asset store. I would love another great run & gun but this one looks like it needs more time in the oven.

@@robospacekitty2007 Guys i dont know the guy who made the game, but i live in the same country. Think that this game was made with less than 1k dollars. Metal slug also dont have dash button, and this game has so different moments its not just left to right. About GAMEPLAY: What about the bikes stage? the UNIQUE boss on stage 3 wich its a fight between two bosses and you are in the middle? the space ships stage? the 3d stage like the nes Contra on stage 2? Its a two years work by one man. Cheers from Argentina.

@@abc-dh7on You have a ground dash in contra (something that this is based off) and are also able to change modes and walk and fire vertically or use a static mode to stay still and fire in any direction. Both these features are not present in this game which it could really use as the controls themselves are very lacking. The bike stage is ok and feels like a homage to the bike section from battletoads. However I'd hardly say it's been executed very well since the backdrops and stage doesn't change over the course. The only surprising bit about it is the change to the electric grid/net section. The bosses feel unimpressive due to the characters having a severe lack of movement or abilities against them. The duo boss (Alien and Tank) was more annoying and frustrating more than anything else. Its impressive for a first try if it is indeed the Developers first game. However in my honest opinion I feel the game should have either been delayed for more work to have been done on it or the Dev should have gotten people to test the beta, got feedback and then worked on it more to create a more finished product.

@@SylentEcho It might not be your bios. Mame can be an utter s**t to get to work correctly. Especially with certain rom types. Some games you need CHD files along with several others. Other games require NeoGeo bios (HUGE headache incoming) to run Mame game because the arcade system itself is running on a modified NG board. If you want to play this without having to put yourself through hell then look for the Dreamcast port as it was unofficially ported about 2 years ago, works perfectly and has everything unlocked from the start

wow, I think changing the EE Cycle rate just fixed all my problems. So I have the same frame drops on Sly 2 PS2 and Sly 2 on PS3 when looking into certain areas it goes from 60 to low 40s but now Sly 2 on PS2 runs PERFECTLY. That makes me think there is something I could do on the PS3 version. hmmmmmm

Hey man, I'm facing many issue with fps while playing on db bt4 with pcsx2, (my current version is 1.7,2730) when I first booted the game with standard options it was running on 7 fps, than after working on the settings I managed somehow to reach 15 (while fighting, in menu is max speed) I will try to copy your setup hopefully to get a better result... Btw I'm using a strange pcsx2 beside yours, is very minimalistic, and its set on white theme, not a dark one like yours, I downloaded it with the game file from a web site that shares dragon ball bt4 that everyone is using on yt. Ah yes forgot to say that I have a Potato pc with 8 gb ram, not sure about the processor but I think it's kinda weak, although I can easily play every old game like for example nfs 2000 porsche with approximately 100 fps, to nfs undercover 2008 (modded so more heavy from the vanilla one) with 50 fps, and never got any issues, but somehow, pcsx2 is very hard to run for my potato. :( I was thinking about the fact thats my pc is bottlenecking or smth like that, cause all the graphics option that I adjusted, are all turned very low or none, and maybe that's worst for it. I have a question, is better maybe to install an old pcsx2 like the 1.4? (I saw a video on yt about playing dragon ball bt3 wit 4 gb ram at 35 fps, they had 1.4 pcsx2 but the video was like 6 years ago XD) Or maybe is better to try with yours same emulator as well? @@sirayberindo03 First of all use the actual version of pcsx2 from the official website. Not some random crap. Secondly pcsx2 requires a decent PC to run because it's a complicated program due to how difficult it was to program for the ps2. The latest edition of pcsx2 has changed a LOT since this video as the aim is to take away alot of settings/features/plug-ins and have each game be auto configured to run via the best settings known for it. This way people with no understanding of the program can't go around messing up settings and essentially bricking the program and then blaming others for their own mistakes. What your best off doing is downloading the current nightly release of pcsx2. Installing that and booting the game up to see how well it runs. Again a huge part of this WILL depend on your rig. Your also best searching for this version (labelled in the video) release of pcsx2 as it was the last release with manual plug-ins still available to select. I Use both and see if you find better results with either this edition or the current nightly build

@@tainowarrior5781 Have you actually unlocked everyone first???? You need to unlock characters to actually play as them. Then use the sign trick, run left and it returns you back to the character select screen and shows you which characters you've unlocked

@@hoihoi13 If you can only play 1 then I'd say Beseria as I absolutely loved that game. After you've played that then try Xillia 1 and 2. Stay clear of Zesteria because it's such a disappointment.

@@ArthurCallahan389 Out of interest why are you using Demul when Redream is much easier to use? Demul hasn't been updated in years and is rather complicated to use and set up. Redream gets updated monthly and is much more user friendly to set up
