Game was recorded at 30FPS. And the shadows flicker on alternating frames, while the SNES displays at 60. Hence, missing the key frames the shadows are sometimes displayed on. The reason it appears sometimes is due to the game's natural slowdown, this slightly offsetting when the shadow frame is displayed, allowing the recording to capture that one. "Why not just record at 60FPS then?", you ask? A couple of factors, that are simply due to when this was recorded (14 years ago, in the year of our Lord 2010). The joys of recording video games in 2010 and earlier...things weren't as simple, and much more resource heavy, hence the 30FPS limit there.

Thank god I found your video, I really wanted to play SMATRS so bad, but the first thing I saw while opening the game was, yeah this... @@Lapis_Master no worries! I'm glad you found it useful! Yeah, trolling aside, why they got SO pissed about someone changing the freeware game's loading screen is something else. The tolerant left is only tolerant if you agree with them, no dissention allowed! The smartest thing to do would be to just use the ORIGINAL loading screen that had none of that on there, and just leave your political and social ideologies out of the damned MARIO game. But alas, they can't do that, they are a cult of converts since they can't have any natural progeny, so they have to convert others to their cause lol. Regardless, enjoy the game now, and yes! Trump DID win! Looking forward to a brighter economic and social future for our country once he assumes the office!

This is the first I hear of this. There was the Godot fiasco, now this? I think it's a wise move to ignore most Discord communities at this point. I don't care for either side of the isle, politically speaking. The only reason I even started paying attention to political and social crap, is because it clawed its way into the gaming sphere. It has no place there whatsoever. That being said, I appreciate what you're doing, just because the trouble maker in me finds it fun. Anyway, do you have any gameplay streams or videos planned BMS? That's the main reason I follow you, and it's not gonna change. Maybe finishing the Distorted Travesty uploads? I'd love to see you play the rest of the series too, and apparently DT4 is in development.

@@BeholdMyStrength DT2 is pretty short. I'd describe it as a score attack game and side story. Yeah, DT3 rocks! I replayed it recently and got two friends to play it too, one of them beating it. I intend to beat it on some special settings in the future. DT4, from what little I've seen and heard, is probably gonna end up as big and ambitious as DT3, if not more so. But that's just my impression. Time will tell. Thanks for replying. Take your time and have fun with the series, otherwise, what's the point? Just know I'm interested. Cheers.

I hate this level so much, it's such a terrible stage. Funny thing it that it's not even that hard, it's mainly due to the terrible checkpoint placements and horrible block dropping sections that take 3 minutes each. Why did Komani make the checkpoints on this level so unforgiving???
