Successfully completed bearing change on an old ELU , which is basically the same router. Thanks for the video , wouldn’t have got it done without it 👍

It's probably 23 volt because there are some capacitors in the adapter, right?

Thank you so much for this. Mine was drifting as well, even after resetting the knob.

Nice job. It should be noted that most newer GFCI’s can accept the two wires under the line screws. Just be sure to make all wires very tight. So there is no need for the pigtails. Also be very careful when doing this because your initial GFCI may have multiple sets of load wires leaving and going to your garage, laundry room, or exterior receptacles. You want to make sure that any of those other areas don’t loose protection or become redundantly protected.

I have 2 black wires from my old gfci, and 1 white. I connected them the same as old receptical, but got no power. Could I have put the black in wrong spots, or white. There is a light switch next to this also
@everythinghomerepair174710 ай бұрын
Check your line and load. They are often in opposite positions on old and new GFCIs. If I understand right you should have one black and one white on the line terminals and then a white from your light to the neutral load terminal and a jumper to the switch on the load hot terminal.

Thank you . Excellent Video. Just replaced the bearings on my old ELU MOF177E. Extrra care has to be taken when removing the on/off switch as i broke the thin plastic connection while dismantling. was quite expensive to replace.

Good point about the tolerance of the lower bearing. I have an old Elu MOF96E Type 2 for which I just ordered new bearings. The lower is an NSK 6003Z, upper is NSK 608Z. The 6003Z comes in two variants, 'standard' and C3. The C3 is a looser internal fit allowing greater thermal expansion. It is slightly more expensive. I would have bought NSK from a bearing supplier, this being a brand I trust. However, I became unsure which type is correct for my router. So instead I bought itemised MOF96E spares from a tool specialist. This meant I paid a bit more and could not choose the brand. I await delivery, fearing Chineseum engineered to die on warranty period + 1 day, not the 30 years I got from 1991 vintage NSK.

Why did you use pigtails? Couldn't you just use the wires from the box to the Gfci? Where did you get the pigtails?

How do you get the app to set the thermostat up?
@vincentperez1903 Жыл бұрын
I hate the fact that you need the app to switch between the fan being on/auto. You can’t do it through the thermostat manually, specifically when they’re doing maintenance on the app, is completely inaccessible.

I have a question cocnerning the speed adjustment. I have an ELU MOF 177 which is practically almost the same machine as yours.Since my speedcontrol broke I went online to order teh spare part. However when coming upon the parts list I noticed that it's not supposed to go on top but rather beneath the upper bearing. When I opened up the machine for the first time I found it in the position you're describing. I checked the parts list for your router now and it also says it should go beneath the top bearing. Nevertheless I went ahead and assembled it the way I found it. While it runs when I use it in handheld mode, the speed control does not respond when the router is mounted under the table. This is probably due to the fact that it only sits loosely on the shaft and probably falls off when turned upside down. On my DW621 the speed contrl sits really tightly on the shaft, in fact so tight you can turn the shaft by turning the speed control. Now I was wondering: If I mount the speed control in the position indicated in the parts list, I wont be able to properly mount the top bearing! WTF!? I hope somene can make sense of this. Thanks. PS: Here's the part's list: www.wmv-dresden.de/documents/ELU/mof_177_e_b_type2_fraesmaschine_elu.pdf www.wmv-dresden.de/documents/DeWalt/dw_625_e_a_type4_fraesmaschine_dewalt.pdf

I've had mine for a few years. Came in after work and it was dark, the removeable face was VERY hot. I pulled it off the wall. Watched a few fix vids but opted rather to just get a basic Nest.
