Your horse is an absolute saint, keeping that calm. My horse would be through the roof if a dog started chasing him great job keeping calm too.❤❤❤❤❤

Dogs shouldn't be allowed to these places for horse events unless they're a trained medical service dog .

It's fab how we can find our horse. You and donut have a very bright future ahead of you both. I found my dream horse in both our later years and although we've not able to compete we do have so much fun together, I'm so glad we found each other. I so enjoy following your adventures with all your gentle giants. Looking forward to your video of expenses, I think it'll be a bit of a "gulp" find :) Keep up the dream Evie x

Yep. A small fluffy dog was damn lucky it went after my well trained and even tempered doberman. Owner didnt even say sorry. Just thank your lucky stars it wasnt a more reactive big dog…

I introduced boots to my filly and she took one expressive step and that's all I got, though when she was a yearling she did cut one of her legs and had to have it bandaged, so she kinda understood the boots at least a little

@Dom_billieКүн бұрын
not in this specific scenario since they're not doing polework or jumping, but introducing boots to a horse while doing something that also challenges their brain alot can stress them out, so they introduce them while doing simple flatwork.

How does a dog that small get away from someone? I'd at least understand if it was a big German Shepard that could drag a person around easily, but that thing looks like you could hold it with one hand! Absolutely irresponsible owner!

Untrained dogs at shows are the issue. If you are not confident that you can recall your animal and aren't certain a dropped leash won't result in bolting, your dog has no business being there. Train your animals.
@Alchera2012 күн бұрын
The horse gave zero fucks about a fast moving and (I'm assuming) loud distraction. That's amazing training and synergy with the rider.

That horse knew to just keep on going and doing his thing you are so good for telling him to go on and keep on doing what you and him were doing! Also when you approached to jump the dog was like “erm huh how did y’all do that???”🤣

Donut acka Duncan is one very lucky boy & what a fabulous owner he had to place him in the right forever home . He would be delighted to share his journey with you which you willingly do that’s why it’s a match made in heaven. I’ve watched your journey with Donut & Maggie & now Red love your thought processes & your ability & the human that you are - don’t change a thing , well done you & mum keep on being you & you will achieve your dreams . Nothing in life comes easy & with success comes lots of hours of hard work in the background, this is something you do in buckets & spades ♠️ very proud of you 👍🥰

You and the horse handled that beautifully. However this is the reason dogs arw banned on XC here in Australia. We're all human, accidents happen. But if the dog hadn't been there - he wouldn't have been able to chase. Best to just leave the dogs back at the float for the XC phase.

People need to hold their dogs!! I was in a riding lesson once and the dogs from the farm across the road had ran in. Joker, the horse I was riding, nearly threw me off, and it was only my 5th lesson. Sounds like a lot, but Definately not when it comes to the muscles to stay on. I basically clung to his neck to stay on! The trainer had to scare off the dogs without scaring Joker even more. Then on, we had a gate at the doors.
