@@AFRealTalk why is a recruiting squadron commenting on my channel to redirect folks to theirs? Hahah
@AFRealTalk11 сағат бұрын
@@TheLieutenant This is TSgt Rawls, I manage the #realtalk channel. I love what you’re doing. “We Are All Recruiters” (WEAR). My whole goal for the channel is to get #realtalk out there for future airmen exactly like you are. Thank you for what you’re doing, keep it up!

New officers: Get a copy of a blank Officer Performance Report (OPR) and put it under the Plexiglass of your desk. Look at it and try to do at least one thing on that report each day. That report is your life blood. It is ALL that a promotion board sees of you. Keep a record of what you do and how well you did it. Give your reporting officer a copy of this form filled out by you and some other bullet points on a separate sheet (you keep copies) about three months before the report on you is due. This will ensure that you get the best shot at an accurate report of your performance. It works. Believe me.

Can you make a video about why you chose to do this. Why is becoming an officer worth while I have a great paying job and comfy lifestyle but there’s a fire in me to pursue being an officer. Maybe if you can break down the lifetime benefits of it that would help many people

What degree did you go in with as an officer? I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management with HR as well as a certificate in public health and I’m looking into applying.

@@TheLieutenant I sure will! Was there a writing component in your interview? How would you recommend preparing for the interview?
@TheLieutenant Жыл бұрын
@@boldishalpha I don't recall a writing component in the interview, however I believe there was a writing section in the afoqt. Best advice for the interview I can give is be genuine and remember that joining the airforce is becoming a servant. So many people come in for interviews making everything about themselves and what the Air Force can do for them. In order to be a good leader, you need to be a good follower. Be humble, willing to learn, but also strong in confidence of who You are.

And as far as the pts goes. What if you're disabled but want to join. I'm curious how come nobody covers this? I've been looking around for a while doesn't seem like there's a bunch of room in there. Not playing. Don't want to be dragging around nobody's coattails. But seriously you want to help how do I get there? Especially at 54 years old. The ultimate question haha.

there is 1 HUGE missed element. In the junior ranks, you are evaluated by what you do. In the higher ranks, you are evaluated by what you lead others to do. Understand that and go far.

Good advice, but I wish that all services do things the way we do it in the Marines. OCS, the Basic School, MOS school, and then we ht the fleet.

Go mustang guys. It’s always good to get some experience. If you can go reserve while your in college…I strongly recommend that for any prospective cadet.

My uncle was a USAF Master Sergeant many years ago. He told me how he had a new lieutenant come in and tell the en,sited men not to do anything without his approval. My uncle just nodded and tried not to laugh. Three days later, the CO called my uncle and asked why nothing was getting done. The next day, the lieutenant came and apologized to my uncle and things went back to normal.
