I met Nathan clearly when I was travelling to Queensland he was with his (I think) guard or something and yeah. I was so shocked.

Even though I’m a Queenslander, mad respect to Cleary. Puts the blues on his back, next captain. I’m sure of it

I wrote this in a reply, but here's my rambling story on how to do it, for anyone wanting to try - It's more so what you do with your leg and keeping your head down. I'm old, but I played Aussie Rules for QLD back in the day. I discovered I could do this technique when I played Touch Rugby League (TRL) in my early 30s. In TRL, the restart is just a kick-off from standing, not off a tee. I would bomb the shit out of the ball in an AFL torpedo hold like he does, but when you keep your head down, and pump/sweep your leg straight up on the follow through, the ball goes insanely high.... and with the right torpedo/spiral/barrel spin..... it hangs in the air and then starts swirling like crazy on the way down, because the ball is swirling but pointing straight down. In the three seasons I played TRL, I think the opponents caught my kick-offs four times in total. 😅😅 When your opponents don't catch it on the full, your team gets the ball back. It was a real weapon. We won one grand final and lost another one. I was just okay as a player by that age, but this kick was insanely effective.

Yep it's all the subtle little movements and mannerisms that made john's so difficult to defend
Latrell is a cancer on any team he features in. He is a big baby & the game will be better off when he is no longer playing it.

Didn’t even get to see this team really play together. Latrell injured Turbo injured Api injured Cleary injured Qld only just won the first game and we struggled on our centres. If latrell were there it would’ve been a different game.

I think you have to point your toes out, that is what works for me on all kicks for best power and on torpedos it gives me height and spin, I thought that it looked like he was doing this with his foot, but I’m no kicking professional
