I just found a 2007 redline in stone blue with 26k miles garaged all its life and looks like new. would you recommend? 9.5k I really want to buy but I also don't thing I would drive it a lot and would end up selling

i think if you consider the aftermarket "limited" you need to look into more things than cosmetic, ZZP, RPM Motorsports, BNR, etc all make great mods for the LNF (2.0t) or LE5 (2.4) motors and the platform itself. the bolt pattern is 5x110 which is pretty common and high offset issues can be fixed by spacers. 18x8s to 20x10s will fit depending in the suspension setup, if you're thinking of getting one but the "aftermarket" is deturring you, a miata would indeed be easier to ebay up

It's not hard once you've done it. But a lot of people would have to look up a video on how to do it the first time. This is a poor design. And getting that bolt inside the door hinge can be rage inducing lol. I'm doing my Sky Redline battery this week and that door bolt is already mocking me

Over here they cost less than a Volkswagen Golf..... And for the prive and THAT power it does have.... You can expect a bit of plastic only by logic. I do have had mine new in 2009 and I did only drive about 9k or so. But I had already change the motor chain and one preasure pump was not okay anymore but besided this it is a really reliable car. Mine did run at about 330-350hp and went from 350nm to 500nm and I really am having a wonderful time with it. I usually had a Turbo before and to be honest. With "only" 5 gears and the normal 264HP it does feel a bit slow.

That was an excellent video, unfortunately too late before I got into bed with mine at 160k miles, but at least it's a heads up to get the timing chain guides serviced sooner rather than later which I really appreciated. Best of luck to you in the future.

Hii, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS COMMENT 🙏🏼 thank you so much for making this video! I recently found a 2007 Saturn Sky base for 2,500 and the owner straight up said the missing parts are the BUMPER, BUMPER FACIA, TWO BRACKETS, HEAD LIGHT, SIGNAL LIGHTS AND SIDE LIGHTS, SPASH GAURD AND HOOD but that the engine and all else is in perfect running conditions. My dad keeps saying to go for something more practical and in better condition cause of the discontinuation he says it won’t be easy to find the parts for it but I can’t help but think that if I don’t get it I can potentially miss out on a fun nice looking car and just fix it up cause if it is in perfect condition just no hood and the other parts I mentioned then it shouldn’t be a bad car right!? 🥹 I guess I’d just like to feel more comfortable that I won’t be taking risks you know. IS OR WAS IT HARD FOR YOU TO FIND PARTS OR KEEP UP WITH THE MAINTENANCE OF IT?
@alexchavez10116 ай бұрын
There are enough used parts like bumpers and hoods that if you don't mind having to repaint it would be worth it. Mechanically that engine was used in a lot of different cars so parts mechanically are no problem just body parts are a bit different but put there if it runs perfectly I would definitely go for it

Throttle actuators throw random codes. Mine throws misfire codes right before it goes into limp mode. Car sounds rough and shakes. (E90 m3) everytime I get gas for the past 2 weeks it doesn’t wanna start and when it does it’s straight into limp mode with misfires on every cylinder affecting exhaust emissions. And it says close gas cap. So not sure if gas cap is the fix or if I need to replace fuel breather valve, the dmtl pump, charcoal filter or what. But I just ordered a gas cap and pre cat o2 sensor bc that sensor is shot. So once I replace it then it’s going to shop to be smoke tested and have throttle actuators and spark plugs done
@matthewwaldrup1497 ай бұрын
Those are throttle actuators not idle actuators. There’s no such thing. Also you who I’ve bought new bc those used ones WILL GO OUT again. Rebuilt ones don’t last long. Or electronic part of the actuator the computer chip goes bad. You’ll be replacing both within a year I PROMISE.
@matthewwaldrup1497 ай бұрын
One of my throttle actuators is on its way out. The weather has a lot to do with it. If it’s hot my car goes into limp mode. But if it’s like below 65 I can beat on it no issues. Now that it’s been in the 80s/90s car starts in limp mode, and went into limp mode 8 times Friday within 30 mins. I parked in the shade for a bit and once it cooled down it was fine again.
