Adriano, thank you very much for this video. I bought a 1972 Fiat 500L and before I went for the first drive I watched your video about 10 times to learn it. Again thank you, great tutorial ❤

I recently bought a 1967 Fiat 500 and one of the main things I was looking for was one without synchromesh. I've only driven it a few times before the bad weather turned up, but the satisfaction from a clean downshift is really something. This video is my inspiration for the spring and summer!

My Mom had a Fiat500 in the late 60ies for about ten years, and she told me how to drive it when I had my driving license in 1975, I remember that double declutching pretty well, when shifting to a lower gear, and I also used my right heel to hit the gas in between. I thought that was sooo super cool!!!! Thanks for this great video, it brings back memories!

@@AdrianosClassicGarage Can you answer me one question please? I forgot what the third lever on the panel was. One was for windshield wiper, one for light. And what was the third? Not far distance light, because that was the lever left of the steering wheel. What was it then?

Hi Adriano, and greetings from the UK. Great video, informative and fun. We just got a 2007 Mini One 1.4 for our son. I was expecting to hate it, but really love it. As you pointed out they're funky, fun, well put together and drive really well. Basically I love driving it, and my son is getting fed up of me finding excuses to take it out..! Cheers.

Great video! I received a Mercedes w202 2.5d (non turbo) from my late Grandfather. It is from '94 and in mint condition. It has elegance trim and thankfully it is pre lift because post lift versions had problem with corrosion.

I daily an ‘86 190D 2.5 manual. 35-42 mpg, it has 302,000 miles on the clock and it just keeps on going. Solid, fairly comfortable and alarmingly quiet for an old diesel.

Hey @adrianosclassicgarage How did it hold up ? I asked a shop to polish it for me and told me that because the car did not have a separate clear coat from the factory ( laquer was mixed in with the paint) it would become matte again in a few months at best.

Thanks for this pretty good video! I love the split screen combined with white board explanations. I actually almost knew that but I never could explain at that high level as you do. Well done! I've done myself a video but just driving without any comments. To shift into a higher gear I experienced that it's working better with double clutching instead of just waiting a little bit, at least with my car. I absolutely agree that these gear boxes are giving you much more back, more fun and feeling of older technique, so I am happy that mine is still having the same gear box. I know that many restaurated cars got a synchronized gear box from the R or 126... but why? Thanks mate!

I think you just convinced me to buy a barchetta. I’m a 193cm tall cry baby whining (with your front-wheel-cry-babies voice):”Oh it’s too small, my head touches the roof”. But you made me realize: it’s a barchetta type of car, a small two seater roadster with a tiny front window and NO ROOF. If one considers the Fiat to be just that, the fact it even has got a roof is an absolute bonus! Thanks for the enlightement!

What a great video! The only I could add, is don't leave your hand resting on the shifter. Doing so adds strain to the shift linkages and wears them out faster.

gas has 50% more energy than regular gasoline. so therefore you should actually divide the price by 1.5 to get comparable price with gasoline
@Andersljungberg2 жыл бұрын
However, it may look different if you have an engine that is optimized for cng, for example a Volkswagen. which can have both a Supercharger and turbo that can have 200 newton meters already from 1800 rpm. An optimized engine also consumes less gas, at least in some cases
