Yesterday I got kicked with 0-3 K/D. I was at top of the scoreboard. My only crime was capturing flags and blitz reviving everyone with medic. That's why I rarely play in community servers. No matter what I do I'm getting kicked.

In spite of its shortcomings (its weight, length, recoil, and its rear sighting system which forces the shooter to compensate by trial and error at distances less than 400 meters), the Gewehr 98 Mauser is superb, and highly accurate! And I would, even these days, carry it and have confidence in it in a combat situation!!

My experience with this gun(hunter variant) actualy let me down to the worst. I dont know why but every shot never registered as a hit nor 1 hit kill on 5m, i have a prefect aim tho, so i went to 12G backbored and Shrogen

An X-Wing Alliance mission has you attacking a SSD that has come out of hyperspace. Its that long that front is literally on top of you when you start the mission and you fly for a good while along its length just to attack the bridge. Fabulous moment.

Pretty good variant but sadly it comes for its name "defensive" you must prone to kill medium-longer ranges, thankfully hip fire still same as factory version. I prefer to use this at operation or frontline

I was playing tank-support earlier today on Fao Fortress and getting incredibly frustrated that the landship I was busting my ass to keep alive was content to just sit in spawn and ineffectually bombard A. Armor is so crucial in that push and it was just not happening. He stayed alive pretty much the whole match and I’m sure he got a lot of kills but what a frustrating lack of team play to deal with.

The worst part though is that you can't zero this version in the button that you would usually use to zero it in is replaced by the button to change it to the pedersen device

Love this game but all the skill moves just feel like a downgrade from the first. Especially missing out on the football tackle that one was my favorite. Disembowel isn’t as cool looking, wall kick only effects 1 zombie. No more roundhouse or leg sweep on landing. Somersault kick is super slow in between and leaves you vulnerable now after doing it. Zombie walk only has 1 type of idle and walk animation. Still. Glad to see frank in this one.

I'm inclined to agree, although I do like how the Karate Chop is used as the Frank's default heavy attack and consistently decapitates all the zombies in front of him (at the expense of a windup, compared to DR1's near-instant activation). I've been replaying Dead Rising 1 recently and while I have a lot of love for DR2 and OTR, I feel that the engine they used had a few rough edges compared to DR1's MT framework!

@@Foddeuryou’re 100% despite what I said, the barehanded attacks are much more reliable and feel better. Plus the karate chop attack striking in front as an instant kill is glorious. And the roundhouse and face crusher are easier to do and affect more in a radius. I did a Saint and Ending S play through and although DR 1 has more style and different abilities that have secret tricks to it, I do think unarmed in general is a lot more viable in 2. Especially since we can’t just spam the mega buster or laser sword like before.

I'm a sucker for the Squad Support landship. Drop supplies to keep the repair crew alive, become the angry armoured clowncar spawning friendlies everywhere you go, and use the HE autocannon to bring the pain to infantry in your way while your gunners clean up!

Funny to see that it never had a proper balanced place in the meta, in all relevant ranges it wasn't as good as the mp18 optical or the ribeye rolles and now its just the better hellriegel

Honestly, I would've preferred them to try and make the SMG 08 into a bit of an Assault/Support hybrid weapon to give the Assault kit another option that extends their range a bit, compared to the abomination they ended up creating.

Funnily enough I actually couldn’t hit shit with this gun because its iron sights aren’t accurate to the real gun, which I own. I then downloaded a historically accurate iron sights mod for bf1 and immediately started getting over 50 kills a round. Absolutely lovely gun, Mausers Masterpiece!

@@vascogamero530 Yep, all on PC. Had a lot of time playing to get a good feel for the recoil - the Annihilator Storm makes things much more manageable!

@@vascogamero530 Statistically it's a Factory variant of the Annihilator - it has a lower first shot recoil multiplier (so on the first shot of a burst it has lower recoil, all shots afterwards use the normal values) and will recover from recoil faster than other variants after you stop firing, so it's the variant that's made for burst firing!

Recently got the 500 kill codex with this, mostly with the Trench and Low Weight variants. Continued using the Trench to do the service assignments with the Paranoid trait. I could never figure out how to use the Storm.
