I did the front 2" drop on mine today, but had to compress the spring a lil to get the top on, no spacers, that normal?

Great Video! Do you know if it''s a big deal if the shroud isn't covering the entire core of the radiator? I notice that you do have some radiator core/fin area not covered by the shroud. Does that cause any cooling issues? If you say it's not an issue then I will buy these for my setup! I know I will have some non-covered core as well though with my setup.

The most important part is attaching the spring to the lid and you just zoomed past that. Just in case you see this, could you slow it down and explain how you did that? At one point you had it on upside down, but you didn't say why you flipped in and why it is supposed to be only one way. If I just put it back on the way it looks like you did it, now the lid won't bend down because something is in the way. Maybe you could explain the purpose of that thin strip of plastic at the bottom of the inside of the lid that kind of goes over the spring. Once I put the 3 screws back in to attach it to the console, that strip of plastic broke off on one side when I tried to bend it. Maybe I just take it totally off.

Ya i had a performance built trans with a stock motor that broke the drum and a stock suburban that stopped moving and i used a different trsns but i checked the pump and it was all fine but i was stealing parts from that trans and kinda forgot i never found the problem but i saw some cracks on the aluminum piece in there and that one the coil springs were shot so i believed the drive shaft did the damage but probably not if its the input drum right

I watched this before I ordered the tool and did the work. Great job! I followed the mfg instructions and installed the tool then taped around it. Mistake!! Wound up picking aluminum chips out of a freshly rebuilt engine. Due to tape coming undone. So do the tape like he did. It was a really good repair. Simple to do just time consuming. I also ordered the kit just to repair a bad hole. The block I bought to replace mine had been hydro locked. I'm assuming that's the reason the threads were week on the one cylinder and pulled. The sales guy sent me a 10 piece kit it saved me some money. So good video

Noticed you also used a harbor freight cherry picker to get it all stabbed back in. I'm installing the engine/trans/harness as a package but the hoist hits the frame before the motor mounts can line up, any tips? Also I'm just using a chain on the ends of each head and hooked them together for my tether

Thanks. This fixed an 05 trailblazer LT. The Woory brand actuator it had started clicking and i could see it move but pop, snap back, move and keep repeating this process. A gear snapped a tooth off and it kept trying to recalibrate but wouldn't, so it kept making noise. Anyway, I had two broken actuators, set the potentiometer at 4300 ohms, set the adjuster at the center lines, and slapped it in. I did the calibration by pulling the hvac fuse, waited a minute, turned the key to "on" and it worked a treat.

Hi! Thanks for the vids. I have a 2008 saab aero. A couple of issues…and was wondering if you’ve experienced. Leaking oil level sensor. WIS says drop the engine. I’ve seen a few tricky work around using a pick, flashlight and a whole lot of patience! Have you ever replaced the o ring on these. Also, have the smell of gas under the hood. Any common culprits on the 2.8? P.s. how is the doorman expansion tank holding up? Just replaced mine with pro parts Sweden.
@RevHardGarage6 ай бұрын
I have the same issue with mine currently and will have to address it soon. I've tried to patch it up a couple of times, but it just keeps persisting. The expansion tank has broken twice. I now have another new one and put four small screws with nuts in tue 4 corners, and it has held up so far. It was replaced under warranty.
