Reason for the missing "3 pounds" :You should make up for it by simply adding the depth of the indent to the height of the PVC pipe. To make up for the variation caused by the indent ...also make sure to glue the base of the PVC pipe 👌

Not sure if Spray Paint would be best option but a couple coats would add 0.5-1lb, I saw someone do it to old plates they had that got lighter over time he spray painted them to restore the weight

very good idea for minimum cost but if you add a bit of cost to it you will dramatically increase in ergonomics (the 60lbs weight seems a bit too big honestly :D ) you can use cheap rebar and cut it using some inexpensive tool and embedd it into the concrete as tight as you can without it crumbling apart rebar steel density is 7.8tons/m3 as oposed to 2.4 tons/m3 for concrete so almost 3 times more dense so you can get away with smaller sizes

Weigh the dry mix first then add water and pour it also just make the pipe a bit longer then cut it flush later and also make some groove on it to prevent pvc from slipping out in the future

I have the stuff, all i need to buy is the pvc pipe, nails & steel net. I always wanted to make this but couldn't. I have a gym next door but still wanna make this. Only thing left is to mix the concrete dust and cement and put it in the mold. Well, it cost me $6 but the bars and setup, I'll it will take more money to actually have it properly.

Try putting a wire gauze in between the concrete...that will improve the integrity of the plate

Nice video thanks for the effort and sharing. Just two notes, need to put a bead of plumbers putty underneath the drain pipe that installs through the top of the sink. When you take it down the putty will squeeze out which will help prevent any leaks, just wipe away the putty that squeezes out with a paper towel. Second, you recommend it to tighten everything as tight as possible. Not a good idea, overtightening plumbing can cause leaks, just get it tight but not as tight as possible. Thanks again bro

I'm planning on doing this same project, but will be using: A 14" diameter sonotube for my 45lb weights, making them just under 3" in diameter. A 12" yields a 25lb weight that's just over 3" in diameter, so they'll be close in width, just not as big around An 8" for 15lb (if I want to make those) An 8" for 10lb at just under 3" in diameter. Once I'm finished pouring them, I'll wait about a month to cure and dry, and then put several coats of black PlastiDip on them to protect them from bumps and chipping.

OK so replaced with a new faucet bc the old dripped and couldn't change out the cartridges so just got a whole new faucet. Now, it only has a small stream of water coming out with both sides wide open. So we took everything apart and retried still just a stream of water. Have great water pressure when not hooked up but horrible when connected. Idk if it's just the faucet or what else to try. Any help please......you can't even wash your hands not enough water comes out.
