I am so thankful for coming across your channel. I am 45 and just learning to do my own shadow work, and I have been trying to figure out a way to help my 13 year old stepdaughter. She is such a beautiful soul, yet she is so broken. I know that you are going to help her learn to heal. Thank you, and God bless!!

Keep in mind shadow work isn't only about discovering negative things about yourself. We don't all have to "heal" from trauma. It's also about learning and accepting who you truly are and giving yourself grace to be imperfectly human. I recently redecorated my prayer closet and purchased a shadow work guide/journal. I love how it explained and broke everything down. It has daily exercises to do at your own pace. I enjoy going into my closet with my journal and blocking out the outside for a while.

Can you share the name of the journal? Is it available online?

Thank you for this speech. There are times where I want to feel beautiful by looking beautiful but sometimes I need to question why my outer appearance has so much power over my self-worth. How is my appearance the essence of who I am? and who am I "without" it? This is definitely where the shadow work begins because on the other side of the illusions of our insecurities are the truth to our wholeness. 🦋🫶

I’ve been doing shadow work for a while now, but I don’t feel anything. Just a realization of my behaviors and such. Is it okay to not feel anything like change or something? Am I doing wrong?

Great video! Thank you for sharing. I've been using shadow work since I was in my late teens (now mid thirties) but I had no idea that was what it was called. Absolutely agree that it's intense and transformative. Can also be a bit addictive (I'm Capricorn rising so maybe that's part of it). My biggest recommendation to anyone starting shadow work is self compassion. Really listen to your body, take it slow and be kind to yourself. If you're coming up against a wall, find a therapist or someone you trust to work through it with. The goal isn't to be perfect or erase all your flaws, just to find a place where you can fully love yourself as you are. Lindsey Mack is an amazing teacher in the tarot space who helped me a lot with being kind and gentle with myself. Highly recommend.

Not only that she is 14 knowing about Shadow Work but that she had the guts to face it, do and stick to it. Like Teens really be different again and people like her make me thing not necessarily in bad ways opposite to the older Gens fav saying of "Youth of today." ^^

To everyone thinking that you are behind and starting shadow work late----that's fine ...at least you are taking that step ...many people simply live there life and go...everyone is on their own path(You may have lived so many past lifes...you may have accumulated shadow behaviours from those too and its time to empty ur bucket)...things will happen when they are meant to happen...there is a reason its happening to u right now(u may not be able to pick out that reason from your human perspective)...we all need to embrace and accept our own paths...everything happens for you and for a higher purpose...

Tbh this almost made me tear up. I gave mine last year in my literature class about responding to hate. In my opinion the start of your speech sounded a bit intense in a way that maybe made it a little less believable. It's good to speak with purpose but it sounds more convincing when it doesn't sound like you're trying that much. It was good tho!! I think the message is so important in today's world, too

I am 13 years old and I've been struggling with school these days making me overwhelmed and therefore resulting in demotivation and procrastination. Could i shadow work or should I wait till I'm older?
@sourprincess_ Жыл бұрын
@@bringmejoy you can start at any age, if something is troubling you its important to prioritize your mental health and understand why its making you feel that way & how you can understand and move past it.
