At 14 years old, I was emo, chaotic, and my mental health was on the floor. If you talked to me about shadow work, I’d probably tell you to F off. Now that I’m in my 30s, I’ve been doing the healing process since my late 20s and I’m really impressed you’re diving into these things so young. You’ll be a well-functioning adult.

I can’t imagine where I would be if I were this spiritually intelligent at 14. Keep it up, Sadie, great work. One day, you’ll come so fully into alignment and the doorway to intelligent infinity will open to you. Just be diligent and patient, and hang on tightly when it does! Also, worth noting is that shadow work is not necessarily dealing with the negative and traumatic aspects of yourself; think of it more as dealing with facets of you that are hidden. Dr. Jung estimated that the Golden Shadow (what you aspire to) might compromise 90+% of the Shadow Self. Keep diving and exploring who you are and what you’re made of - it’s the adventure of a lifetime!

Keep in mind shadow work isn't only about discovering negative things about yourself. We don't all have to "heal" from trauma. It's also about learning and accepting who you truly are and giving yourself grace to be imperfectly human. I recently redecorated my prayer closet and purchased a shadow work guide/journal. I love how it explained and broke everything down. It has daily exercises to do at your own pace. I enjoy going into my closet with my journal and blocking out the outside for a while.

Thank you for this video! I feel like it came just on time for me honestly. I fell out of doing shadow work due to my mind projecting (another shadow aspect) that there was no value. I feel the reward when I do the work, but i tend to psych myself out of doing it. We are all so conditioned into believing that if something does not provide a physical reward then it has no value. I also fell into a trap before of non-stop shadow work which at times left me in a forced state of being, usually a mind-decepted state of discontent and needing to constantly heal something. I will start now to rewelcome a healthy balance of shadow work into my self-care just as I would my physical care, when it is needed and not in excessive amounts. thank you for the motivation again💚 Also, you have a very pretty green-blue aura :)

Hi Sadie, I'm 18 so not too much older than you yet words apart I think. Congratulations on doing shadow work, it's not at all easy sometimes. I've been doing shadow work and general diary entries for about two years now. I started at 16 years old when I was in the middle of a three month long intense depression and ultimately decided that even if I could not change things now, I wanted to be able to change them later. These entries piled on as years went on and I have since gained a much deeper sense of love for myself, trust and I have healed wounds I didn't know could ever close. You have not reached this point yet since you just started, but I have made it a habit to read old entries from about a year ago. The difference brings me to tears half the time. Back then I was worried about surviving, now I am worried about ambitions I have acquired over the years. This is all to say that what you're doing will move you more than you realize. It's such a show of self love and care to come back to yourself and have these intimate talks. Don't forget to feel your emotions when you do these things rather than rationalize. I'm unsure if it's a problem for you but I'll throw it out because it was for me. Trauma is painful and uprooting it can feel like opening up literal wounds, so be nice to yourself. Continue doing what you do, you're gonna go far, kid

Now that I have no friction with journaling I've just been looking for ways to connect more to it cuz i felt like I am only writing a summary of my day which is not bad but it's also not progressive. Great video! Thank you for sharing. I've been using shadow work since I was in my late teens (now mid thirties) but I had no idea that was what it was called. Absolutely agree that it's intense and transformative. Can also be a bit addictive (I'm Capricorn rising so maybe that's part of it). My biggest recommendation to anyone starting shadow work is self compassion. Really listen to your body, take it slow and be kind to yourself. If you're coming up against a wall, find a therapist or someone you trust to work through it with. The goal isn't to be perfect or erase all your flaws, just to find a place where you can fully love yourself as you are. Lindsey Mack is an amazing teacher in the tarot space who helped me a lot with being kind and gentle with myself. Highly recommend.

To everyone thinking that you are behind and starting shadow work late----that's fine ...at least you are taking that step ...many people simply live there life and go...everyone is on their own path(You may have lived so many past lifes...you may have accumulated shadow behaviours from those too and its time to empty ur bucket)...things will happen when they are meant to happen...there is a reason its happening to u right now(u may not be able to pick out that reason from your human perspective)...we all need to embrace and accept our own paths...everything happens for you and for a higher purpose...

Great video! I first stuck to affirmations which did help but I now want to address the core limiting beliefs and where they stem from. Thankyou ❤

Thank you for sharing. You are doing an aawesome job. There is something I would love to bring to your attention for purposes of shadowwork. You paused the video to explain that it is not your intention to minimize trauma. Usually when we do these things, they are driven by a subconcious fear of offending others and thus threatning our acceptance by others. Please know that if you know your own intentions it doesn't matter how others perceive it. You know how you meant things and there will always be someone who is offended. Becoming aware of this 'explaining' will enable you to become even more free if you are able to let go of that fear. I really loved the video and the overall presentation. You are an inspiration!

Hey Zion! Thank you so much for the sweet words! They really mean the world to me! I also wanted to say that I found the second part of your comment (about the trauma disclaimer) quite interesting. When I first made this video I didn’t add that part, but when I showed it to my mother, she suggested to add it. She thought it was a very serious topic and she that it might be offensive to talk about it that ‘lightly’. I obviously love and trust my mother a lot and value her opinions. But this comment gives me more confidence to go with my gut and speak my truth. So thank you again for the insight! As always sending lots of love and light 🤍

Once a person reaches a point when they don't give a flip about other people's opinion of them, at that point, they realize they are truly free.
