ビジネス的にYMOをひっぱりたい思惑があり、細野さんがレコード会社からそう促されていた話もしてましたが、今思えばキョージュは単独で世界にリーチするにも散開でよかった。 アカデミックだと強調されがちだが、アカデミックと才能がなくては映画音楽はできない。世界中探しても、ハリウッドの映画音楽制作を続けられた人はほんの数人。 音楽家として真剣に生き抜く人の時間を奪う価値など日本音楽界にはなかった。 作品もパッケージから流通まで編集したように、ビジネスシステムもサイズを専用に最適化した稀有な音楽家です。 自分が関わる事にずっと真剣だった。それだけだよ。若くてぶつかるのは当然。

細野さんの内股座りはカワイイね。

Riot in Lagos was a solo track by Sakamoto on his (I think first?) album B2-Unit. Sakamoto flew his gear to London to record Riot in Lagos with dub producer Dennis Bovell. Great track

I was an independent bootlegger of tee-shirts from '75 to '78. Winterland had the official licensing rights to almost every major music act but our designs beat them every time. Concert goers would come out of the show holding their "Winterland" shirt begging for a swap. I was there to make money, not collect tee-shirts. I just couldn't do it. When you hear these clowns bragging about their artists' design department, remember, the true test was always in the eyes of the music fan. Oh, and if the kid had enough money left, he would still buy our design. But I will give credit due where credit is due. Winterland was a huge player in the industry! I always wondered why it fell apart. Now I know.

Nothing against Electronic Music, but the invention of electronic music was a huge mistake in musical history. We have idiots like The Chainsmokers stealing the ideas of YMO and selling out by being douchebags, and not even using real synths, fake sounding computer generated ones which anyone can download on the computer and make songs using them. We got Ava Max selling sex songs by using a stupid synth software called VocalSynth 2 which is a terrible sounding vocoder which makes anyone voice sound like a really stupid robot. Ryuichi Sakamoto knew the mistake he has made when people were abusing his idea which is why he ran to acoustic music and composed classical music. Making Pop music and Electronic music takes zero talent, and he knows it.

If I'm ever on life support and they're not sure whether to pull the plug, I want someone to play this song and if there's no blip on the E.E.G. they will know it's all over!
