Kobe’s reasoning for his 45% shooting percentage vs MJ’s say 49% was really because Kobe shot and missed more 3’s than MJ. But Kobe was still good FG% wise if you’re measuring him to MJ’s 46% in 98 he’s not far off when shooting 4 more 3’s a game. Thats what peak Kobe was = ‘98 MJ. ‘03, ‘06, ‘07, 08, ‘09, ‘13 szns absolute peak. Shooting anywhere from 45-46.7% again very 98 MJ like.

He is the best player of all time no one will ever match him. Credit to the piston coach and his team tried so much to break him down and it worked. Im not a fan of their tactics but judt shows MJs greatness even more that he must be managed and fouled. What a player, what a mindset.
