Sorry…I meant 1/2 inch seam…not one inch

When you are stitching the lining pieces together, at the top of all four gussets seams, taper off the one inch seam to 3/8 of an inch. I just finished sewing three of these and tapering really helped with the final matching of exterior and interior.

The pattern was probably free 2 years ago but it’s for sale now.. I bought it for $10… worth it though 😊

I wish you would have used different color for outside n lining fabric. I have sewn all my life n the directions were confusing without color. Thank you from Maine

What are the measurements for making this? Thank you
@makingnewdreamscometrue Жыл бұрын
You can make a binding folder out of thick card stock. 2.5” long and width is enough for the binding to fit in. It’s folded into fourths like you binding. Tape it to machine so it aligns with the stitch line. Then you put your binding in and the fabric goes in between. As you stitch the binding feeds in and is perfectly stitched to the fabric.

Thank you for this tutorial. I made the apron wider because I’m a larger bodied person and “normal” sized aprons look like a loincloth on me. I just finished and it fits great! Thank you.

Hi! I'm late to the craft apron party but can you tell me how you widened the pattern? Thank you!
@bluezazoo96772 ай бұрын
@@laurawhittaker6812 Thank you for asking. What I did was after I cut out the fabric for the upper pockets I cut the pattern in half and added the inches I needed, taping the patten pieces together with paper. I hope that helps (and is clear :/ ) 👍🍀

My patterns didn't come out right. I see yours on video and it's perfect but mine are mismatched and cut off and it says there are only 5 pages which I have so idk what's going on. 😐

I think because it's a free pattern you can give the cut dimension measurements, and also a good tip for the Velcro is instead of using a pin which looks like your struggling with it is to use double sided tape strait down the middle backside to hold it down, and this wont be in the seam when you sew it down. Much easier than trying to pin it in place.

I used a plain manila folder. But the thicker the better. In the blog this came from it tells you the weight of the card stock she used. Hope this helps
