What is the difference between top stitching and basting? I would love to see what's in your advent calender.

Basting is done with a longer stitch usually 5mm. It is temporary to hold pieces together so they dont shift in a future step. Top stitch is usually 3mm it gives a clean finish. Thank you for the great question
