Hi I have been following the above and also clicked on the link above . When I clicked the on / off button for longer than 2 sec with the connect button together , the roger sekect just turned itself off . If I used the connect button only , the light at the connect bottom still going red . I have Phonak audeo hearing aids . Will appreciate your advice . Help pls !

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. It would be helpful to confirm whether your model is a Select 3 or a different version. If your device is a Select 3 and pressing the power + connect button causes it to turn off, it might be due to the connect button not being pressed correctly. Please try pressing both buttons again, ensuring they are held down properly. If it is indeed a Select 3, and you’ve already installed the receivers, you can simply press connect. Ensure that your hearing aids are within 10 cm of the Select device to establish a connection.

Hmm, I’d be embarrassed to tell customers to do all that in order to regain a Bluetooth connection! I’m trialing Infinio sphere and in one week I’ve had my HA drop the Bluetooth connection 3 times. Impressed with the HA itself, but won’t be able to keep it if this is what I have to do to maintain Bluetooth connection!!

I have watched the video but am still unable to install the receivers. is it button 2 first and then button 1 (on/off)? Or is it supposed to be together? I can get a flashing blue light but a red light comes on in a couple of seconds before i can turn on the hearing aid. I have tried several times. Help!!cliff

The app for my hearing aid is well written and complex. I'm still learning it. I've just opened the procedure to reconnect from my android phone. The FIRST step should be have your phone ping your aid. It turns out that the barriers door was not fully latched.

Just got Phonak hearing aids, they work well. The app is miserable, have to go through gyrations to get it to pair with the aids, if it ever does. All its features are useless if it does not pair.

However, please note this is not a Phonak product. Regarding compatibility, this is dependent on the app’s availability for your smartphone and your phones Bluetooth connectivity. Phonak Naida M30 SP would be supported if it connects to your phone.

I've been playing guitar and a few other instruments for 52 years, and though I never achieved the level of success Paul Gilbert has, I did spend many years playing on stage 4-6 hours a night, 6-7 nights a week, most of it in the 1980's, and most of it quite loud. I've been wearing hearing aids for around 15 years now. It took me some time to adjust to them, and I resisted at first (due to poor fittings, mostly). Eventually I got used to them, and now I wear them 16-18 hours a day. I've had hearing aids by Bernafon, Signia, Oticon, and Phonak. I've found the Phonaks to have the most musical tonality of all the brands I've tried. As well, their feedback suppression method works better for music. The Oticons, in particular, use a feedback suppression method which alters the pitch of the tones you hear alternately by plus 10hz and minus 10hz. It's very effective, but it causes a pitch 'warbling' or 'pulsing' effect on sustained notes which is maddening to a musician. I equate it to singing through the blades of a box fan, though it's obviously much more subtle than that. Once I got the Oticon fitting software and was able to program my own fitting, I turned off the feedback suppression in my music program, which made the hearing aids usable for playing music, though they were then prone to feedback in certain situations. I never had this issue with the Phonaks. As a previous owner/wearer of Phonak Savia and Audeo Marvel 90, I just ordered the new Phonak Infinio Spheres, which should arrive in another week or so. Very excited to get these!

My first hearing aids were Phonak back around 2008. I loved them! (Phonak Excellias) Everyone in that office retired. New audiologist I’m seeing since I moved couldn’t program new Phanks to achieve anything close to satisfactory speech, music or anything but did fit me with good success with Signia HA. I especially liked his attention to the app available at that time for “cafe” mode for speech at the table in a crowded Senior Living dining room. Signia came out with a new app, and it’s been nothing but frustration for me. I’m looking forward to trialing the new Phonaks. Wondering if I’ll have to go back to custom molds or if, like now, just the right choice of “off the shelf” domes will work.

The thing is that when Paul and many other musicians where playing back in the 70's and even 80s the tech wasnt there yet for IEMs everything was played out in the open with stacks ...i was told that even with the IEMs ot womt stop the loss ....but it could pf prevented a lot of the greats from hearing loss

Great video, but please be aware! If you have a Phonak Virto M90 ITE or similar, it is made of a type of material that is very brittle and will break into at least 13 pieces quite easily.! Phonak surely there is a more durable material these can be made from?

I guess the point of this presentation is to show of the ability of the AI to recognize the speech and to differentiate it in a better way so that you can reach up to 10dB SNR. This will make it easier to adapt and helps most users to reach their dBOPT for complex situations.

I found this to be a very fair representation of what I experience. I have profound loss in both ears and was wearing Audeo-M i50’s. Without the partner mic this sounds very much like nearly every coffee shop, cafe, restaurant I went into. I could dine with my wife using the partner mic but couldn’t interact with wait staff and certainly couldn’t go out with more than her without having to pass the mic around which completely killed the flow of any conversation. I got my sphere infinio’s 5 days ago and have been to three restaurants, two were with groups! I would say the noise representation in this clip is very close to my experience. The effect of sphere might be slightly exaggerated, but only a tiny amount.

Hi there, thanks for your question. The CROS Inifnio is compatible with the Audéo R Infinio. This does not feature the dedicated AI chip which is found in Audéo Sphere. However, Audéo R Infinio does have other features which help with understanding speech in noise which we would encourage you to talk to your audiologist about.
