Pete has been my musical idol since '73. The man is super interesting and inciteful to listen to. When it comes to great rock and roll he's the man. Long Live Rock!

An inspirational piece of work, first seen by me in the mid-'80's when I was fourteen - it had a big influence on me, enriching my musical thoughts from then on. The way Townsend used his guitar controls to create those biting, jabbing yet rhythmic chords is fantastic.

At approximately 0.46 the woman with the whip is Mary Ann Zabresky (later married name Frushon), she's who is commonly mistaken for Valerie Bertinelli in the video for Bob Welch's song Ebony Eyes. She actually left a comment in the Ebony Eyes video here on KZbin after Welch committed suicide in 2012 (he was in severe pain due to a medical disorder that was only going to get worse and he didn't want to be a burden to his wife and family), in it she talked about how nice Welch was and about the experience of making the video, back then she was doing some modeling at the time and was dating the sound engineer for Welch's album and is how she got the part in the video, she did look remarkably like Valerie Bertinelli at the time in 1978 when the video was made and with Bertinelli being so popular at the time it's easy to understand why so many people even to this day think it was her in the video. Unfortunately 2 years after Welch passed away so did Mary Ann in 2014 at the age of 58 after battling an illness herself.

Its crazy how at this point Keith was still on top, but 5 months later at Kilburn he was losing it and then later at shepperton he was totally wrecked.

Simply The Best. I played this so loud when I was 15 in 1965. Put my ears by the record player speaker. Still do it today at 73. THE WHO!

I'm so very glad I go to see the Who, so very sad it was one year after Keith Moon died. Such a great drummer. Too bad he couldn't handle his life the way he could those drum sticks. To die so young, and for what? Some laughs? What a waste.
