@Fun-DIY-101 Жыл бұрын
It there is no change in the construction of the chair (the video is a few years old), you nedd to press on the wheels a litle harder.

First version had a lever below the seat. Now you have to rotate the chair.

Noticed if the Turning screw is simply just rotating on & on without adjusting the seat height. Then remove the seat from the base part and reattach back before doing the turning. The adjustment screw will start to take effect.

Do you know if it is possible to add castor wheels to the legs? I am considering purchasing this to make my own custom desk with wheels.
@Fun-DIY-1013 жыл бұрын
The legs have a dimension of 6.5 cm by 3.5 cm (2.5 in x 1.4 in). There is a plastic below to prevent scratches to the floor. That is why I think it's possible to add the weels. I can't say how thick the plastic is but you can use another layer of plastic or wood or similar between the legs and the wheel base. The table is quite light so I think it would probably work even without an additional layer.

Is the table sturdy ?? Or its sways when you apply force from the top
@Fun-DIY-1013 жыл бұрын
It's quite sturdy. I had my daughter stand on it (she's 24 kg or 48 lbs) and I didn't notice any sagging or swaying. At some point of load it will sway or fail but I think is's substantially more.

Hey is the tabletop called linnmon?
@Fun-DIY-1013 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you mean the Ikea table, it is called Pahl here in EU. If you mean the table at which I was doing the assembly I honnestly don' t know. It's now 10 years old. It was bought from manufacturer in Italy.

Question about the legs. I was hoping to hack this table to be a few inches shorter. At the lowest setting for the table, do the legs still have some space before they hit the table? If so I could just drill another hole and make it work. Thanks!
@Fun-DIY-1014 жыл бұрын
The legs can go inside for 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) so its doable. But have in mind that the leg is held in position using a screw so you should put a bolt in the legs if you want original fastening solution.

@Fun-DIY-1014 жыл бұрын
Yes it is. My son is 4"9 and uses it for some two years and still fits the chair perfectly. I can't say what is the max. height of a child. I think the son will be using it for a few years.

In this model the height is adjusted by rotating the upper part while keeping the wheels and the base steady. As you rotate it, it goes up or down (I dont remember exactly which direction is up and which is down, the kids are sleeping so I can't check).
@yinglong54154 жыл бұрын
CoolStuffForAll how do you keep this chair steady? It’s quite annoying that the chair rotates while kids sitting on it
@Fun-DIY-1014 жыл бұрын
@@yinglong5415 hi. I currently don't have a solution. The chair is still in the lowest lock possition (my daughter does not need it higher). My older son has has the older model which had a lever that was pressed and you could adjust the height. It also rotates. The new model is harder to rotate so it's better. You will probably have to get used to it.
@angrytrees75194 жыл бұрын
How do you adjust the height once assembled?
@angrytrees75194 жыл бұрын
NVM. One chair wasn't pressed in far enough and so it just spun without raising up. The other one did raise so I now see the trouble!

@Fun-DIY-1014 жыл бұрын
No drill is needed. You get a tool inside the package. Screwdriver (regular or electric) with appropriate bit will help to do it faster.
