The indicator shift pattern caps come off the shifter knobs pretty easy if you carefully heat the shifter knob with a heat gun and gently use a small flat screw driver to pop it out and then use a socket to remove the nut. No marks on the shifter... just saying...👌😎

So this is for any one in the future, you don’t have to pull the wheel well out, go from your driver side battery and work through, go around your hood strut, just did this today and you can do it with out taking the wheel well out but I found it easier putting it back in through under tje hood

Not bad, just did this job myself, using pretty much same stuff, but did both sides, replaced brakes and rotors too. Just a couple notes for anybody doing theirs, check the other side for how the abs line runs so you install those clips right, to get the old hub off go ahead and smack it with a hammer, when replacing the spindle nut just get it started then finish torque when tire on the ground so you don't damage studs, use anti seize on bolts, you can remove two of the three 8mm nuts on the dust Sheild and the tie rod nut if you need more room to work and turn the whole assembly left or right. Great stuff y'all, thanks for making the vid.

How would you torque the spindle nut with a tire on? or am i reading this wrong? haha

Doing a clutch fan install right now on my 04.5 Cummins. I’d highly recommend to add the torque specs for the 6 13mm bolts that bolt the fan to clutch fan motor. Great video.

I fought for 2 days with no luck, bought extra ratchets, extensions etc. Got help and with 2 of us got the fuel filter loose. 77000 k and not sure if it was factory or not, I do know I never changed it. Once my filter was on the drain plug was 3/4 turn shirt of being at the rear of engine. I had a oil pan plug stripped, nothing was said at the dealer about it, next oil change I did and noticed the oil plug was stripped. Don’t like going to dealers even for free oil changes.

that better not be a synchromesh manual transmission or your going to blow it with that stuff.mine did and it blew 6 months after doing this exact thing. Look on the quart if it doesn't say synchromesh not use it.do not use this in a g56 manual trans 6 speed 2016.

I swapped out my OEM oil drain plug for a Raney E-Z Drain valve (straight - the 90 degree elbow is not necessary) so no more removing the plug. Just “unlock” the valve and open it 90 degrees to drain the oil. Great addition. Keep up the good work. 👍

I am actually getting ready to replace mine on my 09 Cummins. Just curious you think it would be any easier to lift the shroud and fan clutch out at the same time once it’s all loose cuz I am probably going to break my fan trying to get the shroud out
