This is true. It must also be noted that there is also a conversion table LQ to AQL. Essentially if your LQ = 2, then AQL equivalent = 0.25 which gives you the same amount of pass and fail rates. Essentially you are sampling at a much tighter AQL. The good thing with LQ is that when you set your limit, as the families get larger, the AQL also increases, which means it gives the manufacture some breathing room the more they make in that lot. AQL provides the manufacture a guide on quality they need to produce, where as LQ looks at the consumer's risk. The standard also says that the LQ needs to be set realistic to what is acceptable (i.e. at least 3x the AQL), so in reality if you did an LQ sample plan, the LQ value would have been 5% to match the AQL of 1% that is aimed for

Hi, may I know how is that AC quantity and RE quantity is derived? By definition, AQL 2.5 means 2.5% of the lot quantity. Let say my lot size is 600 and following GII, my sample size code is J and sample size is 80. Based on AQL 2.5, Accept is 5 and reject is 6. But 2.5% of 600 is not 5 but 15.

QMS is the PDCA cycle in action, an interactive process where an organization plans, does, checks and improves defective or inadequate aspects of the business. Risk and opportunities should be taken into account. There must be a strong commitment from the leadership that has a clear vision and a sense of direction. The culture within the organization should be strong too with shared values and beliefs among staff. The processes must be smooth, effective and efficient. Adequate resources should be made available to all, and a measurement system put in place to track progress toward goals. If need arises,corrective actions have to be implemented to improve processes, mitigate or eliminate risks and address nonconformities. Ultimately reaching the intended outcomes is guaranted if everything is taken care of and addressed adequately. Kudos to all.

If I had a lot size of 8, GII inspection level, customer wants AQL=1.0%. Under ISO2859-1, single sampling plan, sample size shall be 13, but my lot size is only 8. Shall I do 100% inspection, or I can still follow under GII inspection level which is sample size = 2?
