Fantastic!! congratulations folks on your new house...always love to hear of a positive outcome on these shows. What I would also like to see are some follow-up shows. Not fair you get to go back Jules and we don't ever see what couples make of these purchases.. well done again Jules..I actually loved the 2nd home and I wouldn't have minded going out to my allotment to feed the chooks and gather eggs and veges, I might have even made it into a community allotment - a great way to meet like minded people.. cheers and best wishes from Western Australia

"Nice size", "fair size" bedrooms...seriously? Some people don't have homes that big!! Think this man might be difficult to please. Nice try though Nikki...if they wanted ocean views why not look at Devon or Cornwall???And I'm sure they wouldn't have had to spend a million pounds...just because people have money I don't see why they feel they have to spend it all, especially as this guy didn't want a big garden etc..love the flint

All beautiful in different ways and gorgeous countryside. Lovely couple but they need to sell their homes first, nobody is going to wait until 2 houses sell.

Love the wall paper in the main BR..stunning stuff!! no:2 house..lovely...bugger the cat, build an outdoor cat home/house for it, your hubby is a handyman he could do that. In Australia in many parts its against the law to let your cat wander outside re the wildlife and respecting other peoples space eg cats peeing on their doorstep, howling at night, cat fights etc.... you love your cat keep it inside - have a cat door to the outside into its large avery type cat house with shade a big branch for it to sit in and scratch on etc or a tree growing in it to hide amongst..

I've heard in the past that when people in the UK sell their homes their often take their whitegoods, stove etc with them, which is fine but this first house is at the top of the lady's budget and she would still have to buy herself a stove, maybe a wood burner (because it snows in the Cotswolds right? Possibly also washing machine, fridge, dishwasher...its going to cost her a lot more than 600Kpounds...Im sure many or most houses in the Cotswolds have beams.. maybe they should have asked her about that before hand? Also if she is into Feng Shui how will she feel about her ensuite? eg the toilet being in or opposite her bedroom so to speak? Dont think any of these houses will suit this lady.. But I wish the ladies well in selling up in London and living in the country. Thanks as ever Alistair
@jennyc184613 күн бұрын
Sorry Alistair bit of a time waster this one. None of their expectations were met. Its really starting to bug me that people want detached and get attached every time or no beams and they get shown beams, no neighbours but they are surrounded, big garden but they get a stip of green grass or courtyard and they have dogs etc etc.. what's the point in asking what they want when you try to show them something totally different?

I love this eccentric artistic lady, I've seen this show before on another channel. What I cant understand is why buy a house near your boyfriend? Why not move in with him? Or what happens if he's no longer your boyfriend does one of you sell and move??? All sounds a bit complicated to me... I think with her (and I say this in the nicest way) scatty upper-crust demeaner she would be a difficult person to live with... In Australia you can put an offer on a house "subject to selling your own"... within a reasonable amount of time.. can you not do this in the UK??? Can anyone answer this for me please??? I can never understand house hunting in the UK if you haven't yet sold your own home...what's the point??? Thanks Nikki

The couple's desires, needs, and wants were overlooked in favour of focusing on their budget.

With their budget they could buy half of the UK. Why buy a beautiful property to then rip half of it out...my heart would break if it were mine...I hope they find what they are after without wrecking someone else's dream home. Nice couple thank Steve!!

Thanks Jonny, you are so lovely still in my minds eye.. miss your lovely soul...congratulations to this lovely couple Im so glad they found what they were after and their son arrived safely. I wish them a Merry Christmas from Australia and all the best for the future...

Lovely couple, bit immature, its all party party party.. they should maybe be staying in the city...country people like the quiet life on the whole...ah another couple who want to rip into someone else's lovely home.. please leave it alone and find something you like...I cant imagine how the owners feel if they sold to you then you pulled it down basically to put it back together again, their pride and joy. I'm sure there is something you would like elsewhere...I remember decades ago selling my house, my first house and someone wanted to come in a tear down the , what to me had been expensive woven woollen curtains...I've never gotten over it and I'm in my 70's now...

The thing you have to remember about neighbours Mike, is not just whether you like them but will they like you too? Will they like having strangers in and out of your property all year around. On the other hand neighbours mean your business will be advertised for free 'word of mouth'...hopefully in a positive way. Also if you don't like neighbours then what are you going to think about your own guests, continually changing, complaining - because there will always be the ones that complain, the ones who want to keep returning even though you may not like them, etc. I loved the 3rd option forgoing the land with permit to build. BTW that first property had a forest but remember Forestry like to cut down their trees so what would your outlook be like when they are all gone, no privacy, no wind breaks etc..and the fields I've seen so far have been flat and boring without stunning views. this 2nd house is lovely.. I'm pleased to hear an outcome for a change and that this lovely couple found what they were looking for..Merry Christmas to everyone and good luck for the future. thanks Sonali for a great and enthusiastic show.. cheers from Western Australia

Jules I love you but cant understand when this lovely couple say they want more than a city strip of green grass for their dog you present them with two tiny yards one with no grass at all.. surely that is a waste of your time and theirs? Lilli's a tree hugger like me, you have my vote Lilli!! Peet (Peak?) District National Park.. are you allowed to take dogs to nat pks in the UK, you cant do that in Australia..House 3..still looks like a flat to them i thought you might find this couple a house and garden...the description at the end says 3 BR's but Jules you say 2!! Maybe the clothes storage area could imaginatively be called a 3rd BR..no, sorry this episode is very disappointing...and I'm sure they are too although I havent finished watching it yet. Also there was no work area for Lilli....

I do not understand..Why say the budget is , like now , 650.000...if you have expenses ...don't count them in those 650.000...Say the budget is 550.000 so they find you a house around that amount ?

A lovely couple indeed! The first garden gives the impression that the owners own a garden furniture store. And then there are those words like keeping a great schtressing room as well as Kate and Kallamare a charming couple. Nicki was very aware of this, she calls them Kallam and Kate; )

Interesting though all the properties were, I had an idea that none of them would be suitable for the couple. It as nice to have seen a picture of the property they found themselves and finally bought. Lovely episode. I'd have taken house 2, neighbours and all.

Gosh, you can't buy anything much for 375K in Cheshire it seems. Not one of the properties had a decent-sized, proper, lawned garden and yet outside space for the dog was one of their main criteria. Disappointing episode for this couple and I'm sure lovely Jules felt a bit embarrassed with the properties to be shown too. So they upped their budget - a great idea if you can do it, but you're not getting much anymore if you only have 375K to spend for real. Crazy UK house prices...

Although i liked the space on offer in the 2nd and mystery house, i loved the 1st house better. The only thing i will change is painting the beams, the courtyard stone walls, filling up the pond and laying that area to lawn. It was a cute little starter home.

Much as they loved the fabulous mystery house, I had a feeling that after they slept on it, they would realise that the handkerchief garden just wouldn't work for their young family. I'm glad they found the right place for them in Surrey. They were a delightful couple, and we were blessed to see the funny, charming, and much-regretted Johnny Irwin again.

Adorable buyers and a real walk down memory lane for me. I grew up in Essex and actually lived for a while In Tillingham, the second village. Amazing to see the village shop is still there. (I left 40 years ago!) I hope they found their dream home in Essex - they had a good chance, with a million pound budget.
@wackthegood88842 ай бұрын
A disappointing selection of properties - 2 attached houses with either kitchens or gardens that were too small and a 1970s bungalow that was hugely over budget. Because of this, not my favourite episode, although the couple were very nice and Alistair was charming as always.
