Although i liked the space on offer in the 2nd and mystery house, i loved the 1st house better. The only thing i will change is painting the beams, the courtyard stone walls, filling up the pond and laying that area to lawn. It was a cute little starter home.

I really like the episodes with 4 properties. I wish we saw that more often. Some stunning houses on offer here. I wonder how it worked out for them?

Much as they loved the fabulous mystery house, I had a feeling that after they slept on it, they would realise that the handkerchief garden just wouldn't work for their young family. I'm glad they found the right place for them in Surrey. They were a delightful couple, and we were blessed to see the funny, charming, and much-regretted Johnny Irwin again.

Adorable buyers and a real walk down memory lane for me. I grew up in Essex and actually lived for a while In Tillingham, the second village. Amazing to see the village shop is still there. (I left 40 years ago!) I hope they found their dream home in Essex - they had a good chance, with a million pound budget.

A disappointing selection of properties - 2 attached houses with either kitchens or gardens that were too small and a 1970s bungalow that was hugely over budget. Because of this, not my favourite episode, although the couple were very nice and Alistair was charming as always.

All I could think is that she was introduced as a retired school teacher from China. They must be on pretty decent salaries in Chinese schools to be able to afford a 600K house in the Cotswolds.

I love ETTC but this is a classic example of the producers choosing houses based on interior design and ignoring the brief. This couple longed for space, light and above all, grass. And 2 out of 3 houses had no garden. They were polite about it but I reckon they were pretty disappointed. I'm sure there would have been options of houses that needed a bit of updating that came with more land.

I didn't see the other homes but that 1st house was perfect. It had everything i would want in a house. Great curb appeal, bright spacious reception rooms, 5 bedrooms, the master downstairs leading into the garden with an ensuite, another bedroom with ensuite downstairs perfect for guests while the children can stay upstairs. I like that one of the upstairs bedrooms is also an ensuite which means it could be a master if the kids are still young and it would be preferable to all be on one level. I also loved the outside space with a beautiful garden, fruit trees and outbuilding. It is a perfect home that is below budget living room for little updates here and there.

The mystery house was my favourite. It was the same price as the second home which was equally nice but I would go for the mystery because of it's location being close to the beach, having a stone building instead of a shed, and that amazing kitchen.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
I was wowed by property 2 most especially for it's price and all you get for your money especially saving on bills. I would have picked that one because it was 100k below budget, energy efficient, turn-key, brand-new and had everything.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
I loved that first. One of the best I have seen in ETTC. The curb appeal, swimming pool, hot tub, annexxe, beautiful finishings inside the main home plus a great price.

Second house was beautiful. Yes it was to big for them but it would be an amazing home for a family that has losts of guests. I would choose that home in a heartbeat cos it was below budget, needed no work and was value for money. The mystery house was beautiful as well. Would have loved if it was detached, and not a community dwelling with 11 others.

The 1st property was lovely. They also have enough money left over to put their own stamp on it.

I would choose the 2nd home. It was way below budget, leaving enough money to put one's stamp on it.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
I loved the 1st home. It wasn't as bespoke as the 2nd but the layout, privacy and price made it my choice if i were to pick out of the three.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
I loved the 2nd option. It was the cheapest out of the three and had more value for money.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
The mystery house was spectacular. It is a dream home for a lot of people. Lots of house and still under budget. I would have picked that one as well.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
For me, the mystery house offer was a still. Having a running business already is a great idea. I would gladly have bought the acres and lived in one of the rentals. If i could afford it, i could add the land with planning permission but it isn't necessary.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
Property 1 was stunning. It was my favourite out of the 3. Huge bedrooms, bright open plan living, dining and kitchen, 2 extra reception rooms, beautiful bathrooms, an annexxe and the cheapest out of the 3.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
House number 3 came close. I would consider that over the 1st two because of the potential to buy land. That wall I will completely take down and make a gate for access. For the potential studio, I would prefer to make that into an annexe and use the upstairs area both storage and office space. It's a great starter home for sure but one would have to move on from it later. I just loved it's turnkey nature and high end finishings
@valynteenaАй бұрын
I don't think it's bad to show someone a house that is over budget if It has the major things they are looking for, in this case a big garden, a detached house and a sizeable kitchen which the mystery house had. I would gladly go over budget for that private oasis. It was beautiful. The layout was lovely, the finishings were beautiful. I won't need to change anything.
@valynteenaАй бұрын
When I heard the price of the 2nd house, I was shocked, it was way below budget compared to the others and for me had a better curb appeal, layout and brightness on the inside. I would have picked that house, seeing that it's great location was an additional bonus.
@roelienpostma236723 күн бұрын
I think they could not see bejond the decor. Nr. 3 hardly had any Windows. Just because of the colours red would stone, gave a cosy feeling in the rainy weather. This you could transplant into nr 2 as well!

I loved house number 1 as well. House number 2 was tempting because it was 100k below house number 1 but it would need lots of work including extensions whereas number 1 was already done, had a garage, more bedrooms, nice curb appeal and a great location which you can't change.

They chose the property that was right for them. I hope their plans worked out and they ended up getting it. Mystery house - gorgeous, but way too much work. I'm not sure it was a good idea to show it, as they were never going to go for it.

The mystery house was lovely but i could see the potential in the 1st home. Money poured into that home would make it a master piece and it was 130k below budget were as the mystery house was 15k above budget.

The mystery house is easily my favourite. Way below budget, bright spacious and airy and amazing outdoor living and dining.

3 very impressive properties and the couple were very polite about them, but it was obvious to me that they were not what they were after. It's a pity that, at the time of filming, there wasn't a single suitable property with a sea view to show them. I was looking forward to seeing that and it never happened. So they ended up in the Lake District on the West Coast! Wasn't expecting that...
@wackthegood8884Ай бұрын
Amazing that Jules was trying an oyster for the first time in his life! Some great properties here in Cornwall, and nice to see some more affordable houses for a change. I hope they got the mystery house. I don't quite understand why people put in low offers when the houses are well within their budget? Maybe they didn't love the house as much as they said, otherwise, why would they take the risk of losing out? I absolutely loved my current house and so offered the asking price.
