This is one of the best showcases of this watch on the internet! I think your comments about it wearing like the Seamaster only applies to the 42mm CW you have here. The 40mm wears better (relative to most average wrists: 6.5-7.5in). Everyone that has a Seamaster, after the honeymoon, seems to be either selling it or thinking about selling it, and I think it's coz they weigh a fair amount now and wear large/heavy (especially the newer ones). Just my 2 cents.

Your voice sounds like a knife reviewer I watch. I have the cheaper/larger version but it has a mineral crystal. I intend to hydro mod it and fill it with oil so you can view from any angle. The more expensive titanium versions are larger too and I’m on the hunt for a reasonable price one on the secondary

Thank you for the history lesson! When I first saw this watch I thought it was a homage to Jean-Luc Picard. LOL I wasn't sure how that character tied into watches, but I was like...ok. 🤣

Twenty-four years in the military, fourteen-plus years in law enforcement. Tried my hand at rodeo, mixed martial arts, motocross, and mountain bike racing. Just took delivery of the USAF TACP Parabellum. I’m extremely impressed! Despite the fact that I am 6’ and over 200 lbs., I have very small wrists. This watch is the absolute limit in size for me. My next largest watch is a Reactor that I haven’t worn in years and a Seiko dive watch. Good review.

I agree with you on the case diameter is important, I have a 6.5 in wrist and the 38mm fits great for my wrist and looks proportionate. I do have larger watches 42-44mm and even though I can pull it off, they just don't look proportionate to my wrist.

Mido, Hamilton and Certina just don’t have the same quality of build especially case and Bracelet. Also with the SW200 your not tied to Swatch for services as most modern Swatch group use a in-house movement there parts may be restricted to their Agents.

I have an 8" wrist and the smallest watch in my collection (not counting my grandfathers Rolex Thunderbird) is my 39mm Tudor Ranger. I thought 39 looked small on me but I wore the watch for a week straight and trust me, it looks normal after a couple of days. Honestly, lug to lug is more important than case width.

As far as the size of the watch goes, I think it just depends on the watch and the wearer. I know that my buddy who collects Rolex is and omegas likes the 39. He feels like those are ideal and in truth if that's what Rolex is making, then you at least have a decent argument. Most guys can't help the size of their wrist. I wish I had an 8-in wrist as well as other body parts but I don't. 7 in will have to do at least for my wrist. What's the best size for 7-in wrist? Honestly, I don't know yet, but I'm hoping the 43 is a good size.
@davidbennett4395Ай бұрын
I have one ordered and I'm really hoping it's as nice as I think it's going to be. My only concern was that it might be too big. I have a 7-in wrist. I'm hoping I really like it and it looks good on my wrist. My everyday wear is a pro Trek ABC by Casio. I wouldn't wear anything bigger than that. That one's really pushing it but I love the watch so I wear it. I'm pretty sure my Casio is bigger than 43 mm.
@SpotlightWatchReviewАй бұрын
@@davidbennett4395 I think size-wise you’ll be fine. It’s not tall and chunky, so that helps a lot. Quality and finish, you’ll totally be in love though, I can easily say that. I hope you love it! Come back and let us know.

What do you mean the "no, no hours"? Can't I just set the date and time anytime I want?
@SpotlightWatchReviewАй бұрын
I’m sorry, I usually explain this, but I don’t want to bore anyone by doing it again. During several displayed hours through the night, the calendar gear is engaged and manually advancing the calendar can chip teeth off the wheel and cause irreparable damage. Different movement are engaged for different durations. Som Seiko movements have the date wheel engaged for 4-5 hours. Some Swiss movements only one hour. So the safest way to look at the no-no hours is any time that the hands display 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock. Setting the date manually here is a no-no. Instead, set the hands to display 6 o’clock. Then set the date to the day PRIOR to the date you want displayed. Then manually advance the hands past midnight then the date will flip by itself naturally and then set the correct time after that.

I’ll comment about the lume.. I have a few that have amazing lume. Crazy bright and long lasting. Wise. Seiko. The U1 is not that. In fact, it’s a little underwhelming. I was a bit disappointed on day one. BUT.. the clarity of the crystal, the inky blackness of the dial, the contrast of those giant hands and markers, the size of the dial overall.. makes the U1 the most legible in low light even thought it’s not as bright.

Still a lot of People hear Chinese made and automatically assume poor quality, that just isn't the case anymore, the Quality of a lot of Chinese Manafacturing has improved significantly, and the spec you get with a lot of watches is incredibly competitive, so much bang for your Buck, even with the Taxes & shipping charges. Only thing that has room for improvement is the Customer assistance & shipping. I only wish they do more original designs, because they're capable, example some of the St Martin original design watches, they managed to knock them out of the Park.

Congrats! Good video! Since you asked: Steeldive SD1970 Cap. Willard homage is arguably the MVP of AliEx homages. Got one AND a Seiko SPB151J. Already took them both to apneia diving sessions under 16 to 20 meters deep in the sea without a problem. Of course it's shallow waters, but goes to show that for the average recreational swim the SD is very reliable. BTW it is worth noting that the WR is measured in ATM (not meters), so even if you don't go very deep it is important to know the watch endures pressure (relevant if you'll swim in the sea with hard waves and vigourous strokes or if you'll practice any sort of aquatic sports - hence subject to impacts on the water.)

I just can't fathom the enthusiasm for this bland simulacrum of established diving watch brands (boil a Submariner with a Seamaster and add a spoonful of Tudor Black Bay, put it in a skinny case with a too large diameter face/bezel, add a silly logo and presto, here is your CW)

If you have a chance, you should try to use the watch with the bracelet from the 328. I bought it a few years ago and it's really beautiful on the wrist. I have tried it with the original black crocodile strap and I also bought the burgundy from the 320 and the dark brown from the 351. Beautiful. All of them. Perhaps the best is the burgundy.
