I liked your video again. I’ve made remarks before about hundred percent for triangle needed for apples to apples comparison. In this one use Genoa area versus the Chip area for the Xquisite. I’m not sure why you didn’t use their Genoa so it would be an even comparison between everybody if you did, I think it would blow even the wave away on performance. I’ve asked Thomas about getting polar diagrams and things and he says he doesn’t have them though he does have them for his 60 footer.

Fascinating design. Does anyone have any experience at sea with these collapsible foils, though? Also, if you have the resources to be in this market, shouldn't you be considering renting instead of owning? Hire a boat with captain and crew and let somebody else worry about broken gear and dealing with harbormasters.

Would be great if you could make this sheet accessible online (as Google Sheets) and keep it frequently updated with new models for comparison. You can add your affiliate links there, so it may actually make you some money. Some saw other people doing similar thing with e.g. computer motherboards or computer PSUs, listing all models and their specs for comparison and Amazon affiliate links. They eventually become the go-to reference in their respective communities. I would also add some safety indicators, e.g. BSpd Jib, SSpd Jib, and KSI Jib, considering there's been much performance vs safety talk recently. PS. I wonder how HH44/HH50 would stack against these!

Hi Steve. This channel is primarily from Sylvia’s point of view, since if she doesn’t agree, I’m going no where. Also, although there is a significant focus on ethics, we do dive into hull construction and performance. The bits that you speak of can all be replaced and/or optioned up or down, so it’s hard to be definitive. Re the mono-hulls…it’s about the ongoing mono/multi debate and a fair value comparison. The Seawind 1190 has retractable rudders and daggerboards. This means an amazing low draft of down to 1'11'' (60 cms) and it can easily be beached (motors are outboards). The reason for so much exposed fiberglass is its very low weight. Even shelves are fixed and fiberglass adding to the rigidity. Seawinds are proven cruisers - Bali not so much. Some cruisers have serious doubts to the safety of Balis with no trampolines. Historically, the resale value of Seawinds is amazing. The waiting time for a new Seawind can be very long. For crossing oceans I would go for the Seawind 1370, 1260 or 1170. For a floating condo the Balis are a good choice. Nice comparison - thx.
