I love how every maker says they have the most accurate Crumrine. C4 is the new one. Shoprine is the most accurate and best price. But also, in my opinion, all big golds look good regardless who made it.

cant speak on the spacing, but Groovy said the strap was intended to be "cheap" because had he focused on strap quality he would have had to jump the price. He wanted the plates to be top tier and intended for consumers to get it releathered to their liking, spacing included. but by all accounts, the plates are dope.

The unis were controversial that year. They kind of grew on me as I came to understand how they fit into the athletic theme and with the addition of the full coverage socks instead of the invisible socks the visual package seemed to work much better. I will miss Cadets being inactive in 2024.

The BD's always get favored by the judges which give them the highest GE scores so other corps get screwed every year.
@brown55061
@brown55061 4 ай бұрын
Not really, their programs are solely written to max out GE. The judges don't just like BD more. If you watched the top 3 live at the end of the season BD truly was on another level and this is coming from a Bloo vet. Their show was well written and their talent pool was unmatched. Crown was amazing too, but they just weren't as clean in some captions. The top 5 were all really good this year.

What was Crown's show about? BD's show was about Matisse's end of life struggle, and his masterworks that resulted from his inability to paint.' Artistic limitations often give way to the most profound works. An artist never gives up-- something musicians and performers understand well. We get glimpses of Matisse's life, from the lively dance and music of Paris to a glimpse of a French bomb shelter in World War II, and eventually his slowing down to a snail's pace and forced to use cut-out paper to create an image. From research we know that he was nearly unable to hold a paintbrush at the end. But in this show, we never see the artist personified, we only see what he saw-- from jazz inspired dance and social tricks devolving into simple cutout swatches of paper. The show progression from lively choreography to a stationary snail was symbolic, profound and moving, at least for those who bothered to research the premise. Crown's show was about fictional King Arthur who got stabbed by his best friend who stole his wife. Plonk. Why? Why do this show? What's the social relevance of the classic love triangle of fictional Camelot? What's new about Crown's interpretation? Let's look for clues in Crown's show: They repeat the Bjork melody throughout. Bjork was a feminist, and unlikely to align with any fictional narrative about a male dominated culture of sword-weilding usurpers of land like King Arthur. So Bjork doesn't fit here. Mistake number one. Why cast a young Broadway-quality actor as Arthur who is sensitive and expressive as the iconic tough-guy? How do we see his sensitive side help him in his rule of his kingdom? How is this interpretation profound? We can't see any evidence of that in the action of the show, and it's nearly impossible to depict a sensitive side to a legendary ballbuster, all without words, and only through movement, equipment work and dance. The grandeur of Crown's arrangements begin to deflate when we can't justify the gravitas. Why was Arthur grand? We want to believe in his greatness, but we can't see it. Why was he great? In this version, we simply can't tell. The grandeur of the music doesn't match the impish, sensitive ruler who succumbs to a love triangle. Sorry, not enough professional development of the premise, or development of his character. BD for the win.

Don’t get me wrong: I enjoy this show a lot, and it’s grown on me. That being said, bring back the mid-10’s style of Bluecoats. That’s stuff just HIT different. This is probably the first show from Bloo I’ve liked since then, but it’s not like what I know they can be like.
