Good idea! I usually go up and rub them with the halter in their itchy spots then give a carrot then walk away. Do that a few times and they are happy to see the halter.

How is that even legal?? Its required by law to have at least 2.5 acres for one horse; and even then having only one horse is pretty frowned upon. If we did this in the US we'd get taken to court and the horse taken away lmao
@connectedhorsemanshipАй бұрын
Thanks for your questions. In our council area, according to the by-laws, I could keep two horses here without approval. However I personally don’t think that’s a good idea. Some people down the road have two horses and a foal. There are several single horse households. There are whole stable blocks of 12 stables full of race horses in some people’s back yards, they have council approval for that set up. Not everywhere is the same I guess 🤷♀️
@andrewatkinson3700Ай бұрын
I agree it's probably too small. Against the law? That's a blanket statement that is not true?
@connectedhorsemanshipАй бұрын
@@andrewatkinson3700 it’s not too small. Horses are kept in 12 x 12 stables all over the world and every Agistment centre in the state has individual paddocks less than 1acre. Thanks for your input though.
@andrewatkinson3700Ай бұрын
@connectedhorsemanship doesn't mean that it is optimal or right. Just because you provide a space larger than a 12x12 stall. Puppy mills keep their dogs in cages that are 2x2, is that right?? I was basically saying that it's not illegal to keep a horse on less than 2.5 ac. (Here anyway). I didn't blast you or anything. I believe you care for animals. It's just not for me.
